I think the real problem is that MTV has sucked for the past 20 years. Maybe they should work on that.

So they're looking for a show that doesn't suck? Won't find it on MTV that's for sure.

Q: Given the popularity of some of those shows, why did it die, and why bring back now?
A: Hale: "There is no answer for why it went away

Gee, I'm no fancy studio suit but I think it could be traced back to when you I don't know, took off all your music videos and half way interesting shows and replaced them with reality show dreck. Just spit balling here.

I hope B&B does well.

After you canceled this for calling you out on being asshole sellouts (and one of the greatest pitch-and-note parodies ever, EVER) you don't even deserve to have Mike Judge making new B&B episodes.

/Even if he *IS* getting $2.5m for a whopping thirteen episodes.

I guess nothing really is obscure to Fark.

I love S&O as well, especially the Chester skits.

I've seen a couple trailers for BnB and they look funny. Especially since they rip on current mtv shows. Butthead says regarding a flow chart the Jersey Shore cast makes tracking their sexcapades, "If they made that long enough they could find where herpes began."
They also took shots at the pregnant teen show. I'm looking forward to it.

This. I have to believe that everyone that works at MTV is self-loathing scum that hates the entire human race. There's really no other rational explanation for their programming.

MTV is a secret alien plot to instill progressively lower IQs from the previous MTV-watching generation. It's education in reverse.

I'd be happier if they simply dropped their reality programming and focused on animation. Liquid Television wasn't that bad, but it was nice to have something truly unique on the channel. Remember when cable channels used to be proud of having one genre or focus and airing the shiat out of that?

Outside of that, it's nice to have the Liquid Television archives back in some form. But the real problem is MTV is getting too set in their ways. That's been a problem since the late '90s anyway, now it's just getting worse since the paradigm of cable TV is changing.

wasn't too bad, even if it was a blatant attempt to catch B&B's lightning again in the same bottle.

The only good thing about Beavis and Butthead was the creation of the "proto-Hank" (the guy in the fishing hat) that led to "King of the Hill".

I always figured Jane was a better match for me, but yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from.

MTV announced the return of "Liquid Television" on Thursday, only this time across all platforms and with the archives from the old shows available for viewing.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is what is known as BURYING THE FARKING LEAD.

But... that would require PAYING SCRIPTWRITERS!
