I'm sure the Perrys will clarify and apologize.

2011-10-15 07:46:34 AM
Isn't she just precious?

2011-10-15 07:58:15 AM
Well, if there wasn't a Democrat in office, he wouldn't have had to quit his job to join his Dad's campaign. Duh.

2011-10-15 08:43:49 AM
But I thought Texas was a wash in jobs.

A rich kid complaining about not having a good job after college?
He's not going to find anyone who sympathizes with him, I'm sure.

But I thought the unemployed were just lazy sacks of shiat.

No he had a great job, but just quit it.

2011-10-15 08:55:38 AM
So, let me get this straight, he gave up a lucrative job to work for his Dad? This is someone else's fault?

You accept responsibility. You take it on. Blame, that is something that is assigned. These folks believe in personal responsibility, so take some. Could be a tale of brave sacrifice, of a young man who thought his father's Presidency was more important than personal gain.

Instead, it's whining. Congrats. You've just proven that y'all ain't fit for the office...

FTA: "My son had to resign his job because of federal regulations that Washington has put on us. He resigned his job two weeks ago because he can't go out and campaign with his father because of SEC regulations ... My son lost his job because of this administration," Anita Perry said

That is some weapons-grade stupid right there.

2011-10-15 08:56:06 AM

FTA: Griffin Perry, who graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2006, worked as an investment banker until two weeks ago.

According to regulations set in place last year by the Securities and Exchange Commission, you can't bring in the big bucks at Deutche Bank and be intimately involved in political campaign activity.

So in order to help out with his dad's presidential run, the younger Perry resigned from his job two weeks ago.

Yes, obviously the solution to the problems this country faces is to completely break down the wall between the Wall Street banksters and campaigns. Just let people split their time between both. That is what we need.

While we're on the topic, why would Perry want to admit that his kid is a silver spoon Wall Street bankster?

Try to follow the story because it takes a little while to get there. (new window)

And then the full story is explained in four sentences.

How condescending to your readership can you be?

I guess I clicked the "link" button instead of just italicizing as I meant to do. Need more coffee.

Yes, play the over-regulated investment banker victim card.

Hey Griffin, here's a big sack of I don't give a shiat. Douche.

Yep, already don't care.

2011-10-15 09:10:04 AM
So, Perry's wife is positioning herself in the race now--first on the Un-Christian candidates who oppose her husband, and now on her poor son who gave up a job to help his Dad--because whining makes her sound like First Lady material?

Texas, you elected a man who thought this woman was his best partner, and now folks figure that the nation should make Texas' piss poor example?

2011-10-15 09:10:42 AM
Why would you quit your job to help your father campaign AFTER his chances have already gone down the shiatter?

With decision-making skills like that, I'm sure he made a FANTASTIC investment banker.

It's the Obama administration's fault because they passed the regulations that made it difficult for him to legally do both [work as an investment banker while bankrolling a political campaign], his mother said.

Wow, mommy actually went there. She must've forgotten about those unwashed elitist undirected focused Communist socialist fascist lazy teenaged WWII veterans at Wall Street.

Least they could have done was to photoshop out that humoungous ZIT on the kids nose in the picture. I mean comeON it is 2011! AND don't forget Wall Street might not be there by the time his father is elected Emperor. Dat uppety Obama gonna give dem Wallnut'O's a comeuppance rite soon Y'all!

Why should the wealthy have to work?

2011-10-15 09:12:21 AM
Bahahaha! And we're supposed to feel sorry for this little bankster ...why?
We need more regulations like this, not less.

Eff ewe, Perry kid. I'm sure you can always find one of those minimum-wage jobs your daddy "created".

2011-10-15 09:12:30 AM
That pic is screaming to be photoshopped...

2011-10-15 09:13:16 AM
I'm shocked. An important internet meme like Griffin Perry should be paid something. Somewhere there are cheerleader tryouts. He could ask dad for some pointers.

It's so you can feel sorry for the poor kid. He's out of work and his family can't afford to get rid of blackheads. Don't ask what Rick Perry calls them though...

marcand: Why should the wealthy have to work?

They shouldn't. Let them just go on a perpetual vacation, and we'll tax their investments at 0%. Think of all the jobs that would create!!

I was reading though the responses trying to think of something sufficiently snarky but I didn't have to it's all right here.

That's on even numbered days. On odd numbered days they're hard working bootstrappy types that Obama personally called up and fired.

US politics is the best reality show ever...from a distance.

can we reallly blame Obama for 'Mister Sunshine' being canceled?

Wow. Is she really comparing a voluntary resignation so he can help his dad get elected President as the same as the unemployed?

2011-10-15 09:18:44 AM
This poor investment banker had to leave his job to help his father who is Governor of Texas, run for president. Sir, your pain and suffering resonates with all of us that have suffered through this economic downturn. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we can identify with the misery that these socialist regulations have punished you with. Hang in there you brave, noble man you.

But there's always money in the banana stand!

2011-10-15 09:26:46 AM
I feel their pain, really, I do. I wanted a job taking spent nuclear waste and pouring it all over national parks but the goddamn EPA won't let me due to some liberal's regulations. I could have a great job if they would just let me do whatever I want.

If I wasn't working three minimum-wage jobs to stay in the 53%, I might end up like those dirty hippies in that park in New York.

I don't normally follow links but I did this one. The woman is a loon. Which explains why she's a bona fide member of today's republitard party.

Rick Perry's son is such a douche, none of Rick Perrys large corporate donors will hire the kid.

Rick, Anita, Griffin....

The first two letters of their names spell GRAIN

GRAIN is the food group with BREAD

BREAD is also paired with CIRCUSES

Q.E.D Rick Perry is a CLOWN

Given the kid apparently quit his job as an investment banker to do campaign work for his dad I'd say Cain is spot on in this instance.

Headso: Can you imagine how totally out of touch with reality that lady must be to say that.

Or how out of touch you have to be to MARRY that.

Kids: don't stick your d*ck in crazy.

Overall, the Perry family is showing a plethora of stellar decision making skills, and maybe, just maybe, these wee incidents show a fraction of how well this cat will handle an office that has even more stress and responsibility than the Governor's chair...

He's the son of the governor of Texas, Come what may, he will easily get a job after the election. Investment banker? Sure, why not? I'm sure he got that six-figure job in the first place purely on his own merits.

Actually, it would be kind of funny to watch Perry's campaign implode from some horrible scandal (sex with a death row inmate's wife in return for commuting his sentence, then pulling the lever himself? something like that), Perry resigns in disgrace, and his kid ends up operating the dumb end of a broom somewhere, or better still, is killed in a meth lab explosion. Won't happen though. Once you've reached a certain level of wealth and power in this country, you are simply not allowed to fail, you're "too big to fail." Your fellow plutocrats will find a way to bail you out. I bet if Bernie Madoff got out tomorrow on a technicality, there'd be a yacht and a private jet waiting for him.

Eat the rich.
