I often hear biatchy middle-aged Chinese women who don't expect that I speak Chinese question whether or not I'm the biological father. I like to shock them my informing them in Chinese that I am.

The other group who flat out ask are white couples who have adopted Asian girls. I get this sort of 'Aww- how come you got to adopt a boy?' line of questioning from them.

As he's getting older, my son's hair is actually getting lighter. If he ends up with a Polish nose like mine (my mother-in-law states that she hopes he ends up with a 'westerner's big nose'), I'm thinking people might just let it go. My wife gets really pissed off, but I guess I just assume people are nosey jerks and don't let it bug me.

As the parent of halfie kids it is kind of interesting to think about. If one of my kids has a white spouse they can only produce white people or halfies based on genetics. With an Asian spouse you'd only get halfies or Asians.

So in theory the next generation of my family could involve one person who is 100% white genetically, one person who is 100% East Asian genetically, yet they're cousins.

There's a lot of things you're not supposed to do to your kids. But sometimes you just can't help but, say, force them into things like ladybug jackets and Batman sleepers just because they're little and you want to get all the cute kid wear out of them while they're still unable to really dress themselves without you either dressing them or picking out the clothes from the store for them. That's like a fundamental right as a parent!

As 1 half of an identical twin set, I agree with this. The MINUTE we gained the ability to understand what was going on, we stopped letting mom dress us the same.

So are you black from the waist up or waist down?

My girlfriend has identical twin boys who are mixed ethnicity (I hate the term race, because we are all the same race, but with variations that are ethnicity), their father is black. If she and I get married and have a kid, it will be very likely white, as we are both pale as snowflakes. But they child will still have two brothers that are mixed. They will still be family. Yeah we might get weird looks every now and then from people who that is a thing for them... but I will treat the boys just as well as I would treat my own.

/apparently the 'myth' about black men isn't universally true.
