a teacher in middle school that had that. it was due to a pinched nerve in her neck and spine. hand would rise and start moving on its own and she wouldn't know unless it happened in front of her or we pointed it out. was a strange sight to see. she had surgery and it corrected the problem.

there are people that feel they are born into the wrong body. they do stuff like this too. you can't be born into the wrong body. have heard of people cutting off hands, legs, skin, ears, eyes, etc cause they felt it didn't belong. a friend after an accident went through that with skin grafts. talk about ouch. they kept him bound and sedated after he tore one off.

I'm sorry, but "arm" connotes something that begins more or less at the shoulder region and extends down through the fingers. This poor man amputated his FOREARM.

Could one bleed to death from that? Seems likely.
