I think I can honestly say that I have never watched so much as five minutes of CW programming. Sucks I fired Netflix last month

It also seems that as of tonight, you can't stream on two devices at once. I'm mildly pissed.

Supernatural is about the only show of interest to me in this deal and I already have 'em on disc. However, for those who don't, it's a good addition, IMHO. So, yeah...

You know, honestly, I think Netflix is going to do well in the long run. Call me crazy, but I do. Was thinking even, that with the recent stock price dip now may be a good time to buy. Thoughts?

Helps that all the Star Treks are now available. Loves me some DS9.

Oh Netflix, you used to be such a good whore. I'd anxiously await your arrival in your little red outfit, and sometimes you'd bring a friend or two if I paid just a little more. When we were done, I'd just drop you off and await your next arrival a few days later. You'd let me choose and rank options, and even post personal reviews if I wanted.

Then you started making me wait for the new talent. You know, the good ones. The ones everyone wanted. You raised your rates and gave me less of what I wanted. The streaming was nice, when it worked, but I could see all that B-list junk on regular t.v. or for free on Hulu.

You changed from a whore to a pimp, and I don't let pimps in my house.

All of you farking alternative lifestyle 'I don't own a TV and I'm not paying the evil cable company' asshats are ruining video streaming for those of us who use it for actual videos. TV shows making up 60% of the stream? Fark you. I want to stream movies, real movies, not shiat movies because all of the money is tied up getting every season of Law and Order.

To be fair, if I didn't own a TV, I wouldn't pay the cable company either. Just seems like a waste.

That's a shame. Really. Supernatural is actually a very good program. I'm looking forward to rewatching the past seasons.

As someone who canceled my Netflix account last month, I really hope you're right. I'd like to see them get their shiat together and would be happy to return if they did. But raising rates while at the same time losing Starz content when subscribers are already putting up with the additional 30-day wait for DVDs was just begging for cancellations.

I already pay for cable...no need to pay extra for a content provider that's getting movies around the same time HBO is getting them.

I'm looking forward to this -- there's a few things on CW that are in the "I'd watching it if it's there, maybe, but not go out my way," like Supernatural and Smallville. The more content, the better.

Wonder if this deal also includes the WB and UPN back catalogs? Then it might be worth something. Otherwise, not so much.

"Fail" indeed. Because Netflix should only bother getting the rights to stream material that appeals to the Fark crowd, amirite?

I am looking forward to this, I've only seen the first season of Supernatural, so the wife and I are excited to catch up on the rest, and we've been interested in Nikita.

We canceled the disc option of our package with Netflix, but unless they just royally fark up in some way that I can't even think of right now, I doubt we'll ever cancel our streaming option.

But seriously, if they wanted some content, it might be useful to have some cable content. This is over the air stuff I can get on my rabbit ears. Are they signing with Bounce next?

They will get me back if they get content from syfy, Aniplex, BBCAmerica. Gong, FUNimation etc... until then I am out of here.

Netflix Canada gets a good deal of content from BBC Canada. A lot of older stuff, but some newer stuff as well. It's pretty awesome.

USA gets it too. That's why I wasn't sure if he was serious. I've recently seen some SYFY programming on their too. Thank God for BBCA. I recently watched Sherlock and am about to start Luthor.

I know this is going to inspire ridicule, but I'd be much more interested in the old WB shows. Rewatch Mrs. Tom Cruise side talk on the creek, or all that fast dialogue from Gilmore Girls.

Yes - I was not clear, it makes it to Hulu much faster. Waiting a full year from the air date until it makes it to Netflix was annoying. So I would instead find what I wanted on Hulu faster, not always the TV playable kind. But it took a very long time. The disappointing part of Hulu is that for many series you can't see more than 5 episodes at a time. So when I want to see Dr Who, I cannot see it on Hulu, but must wait up to a full year to see it on Netflix and only on DVD. When I want to see Alphas I can only see the last 5 episodes on Hulu and ended up missing most of the first season, then it does not show at all on Netflix. Same with a lot of the Anime I like, Netflix has the older stuff but Hulu only has the latest 5 or so. Very annoying.

Their management team decided to split the the company into two different, separate companies on what was apparently a spur of the moment decision. Shortly thereafter, they changed their minds again and will not be doing it. That, independent of Netflix's problems with the movie studios should tell you that they are willing to admit their mistakes, and that they have no idea what they are doing. Buy Netflix when they get new people in management.

Actually, no. The reason that Netflix is turning to TV is because the major movie studios aren't selling their content because they want to start up their own streaming sites. They also don't like the idea of you being able to watch as many "real" movies as you want at the dirt cheap price of $9/month because it stops you from buying DVDs and going to theatres.

And now that the studios have all stopped making lower budget, independent adult dramas and pooled all of their money into generic Reluctant Superhero vs Transforming Robot Dracula Part III with the $200 million budget, there's less movies in general.

Captain_Ballbeard: lol, Netflix is not your problem dumbasses, Torrents are.

What's funny is that I, for one, would actually pay to access any streaming content I wanted. I'd prefer to do that to downloading. For now, I'll keep downloading, just to stick it to the producers who COULD provide the content I want in the format I want at the price I would pay, but choose not to. Their loss.
