They said it appeared as many as 10 people were living in the house, and lately there had been some signs of suspicious activity: When residents looked for available Wi-Fi networks, names like "FBI Van 1" would pop up.

It sounds like some of these people they interviewed are really exaggerating how dumb he was.

Good for re-election campaign?

This article looks like "brownwashing" done by defense lawyers to make the guy look hapless and harmless and not capable of committing a crime.

It didn't work. Hang him.

I watched the stupidest interview of one of the neighbors on CCN. They kept trying to prompt the interviewee.

Interviewee: He used to stand outside a lot and talk on the phone.
Anchor: Oh Outside, On the phone. Did he talk a lot.
Interviewee: Uh, I guess so.
Anchor: Was he speaking English?
Interviewee: Uh, Nooo, not English.
Anchor: Was he speaking Spanish?
Interviewee: Nooo, not Spanish. I guess.
Anchor: Was it some foreign language?
Interviewee: yeah, I guess,.
Anchor: did it sound Middle Eastern?
Interviewee: Well. maybe. Maybe it was Arabic or something
Anchor: Ah, I thought so! Arabic! And he talked a lot?
Interviewee: I guess so.
Anchor: and really fast?
Interviewee;: Yeah.

Did he ever sound angry? Yeah? Like maybe angry with the government? I mean, it's possible, yeah. Possible, sure, so he was angry with the U.S. government and would talk about it angrily on the phone outside. In Arabic. Interesting. I'm not insinuating anything, I just think that's interesting.

Fellas, I was in Baghdad when elements of the government (cough CHENEY cough) were trying to gin up a war with Iran. It's not subtle. The Obama administration isn't even THINKING about ginning up a war with Iran. They are pretty serious about nuclear non-proliferation, and if push came to shove, they might give the Israelis the greenlight to bomb the enrichment plants, but that's a last-ditch, worst-case scenario that's at least a couple years away.

The "wag the dog" conspiracy theories are stupid, in that Obama's numbers go DOWN every time we get more engaged in war/counter-terrorism. If you want a more realistic paranoid fantasy, start talking about how they actually have Mullah Omar in an extraordinary rendition dungeon, and will kill him next October. That at least makes some political sense. War with Iran, not so much.

The FBI, ladies and gentlemen. One of the premier law enforcement agencies in the U.S.

The terrorists must be more inept than we are, if these are the people investigating them.

Need to add a serial number or something. That way people assume there is more than one FBI van, and that they label them to keep track of em.

From the baleeted thread:

Heron
Of course, given that he said this to an FBI agent, and was put up to the plot by the FBI, and that the FBI has a long, proud history of flooding the media with disinformation to prove their case before it ever goes to court, who can say what of any of this is actually true or not?

Both threads on this have been redlit and reference each other as the duplicate submission.

Is the terrorist mastermind mentioned in the article running this place?
