A population of around 30,000 in the middle of nowhere, so it's where people from the nearby smaller towns go to movies etc. As a result, they think of themselves as the Big City folks surrounded by a bunch of hicks.

Having worked out there on a number of occasions, I (and the people Ive worked with as well) have determined that the people of Wilmar are either mean or stupid. The mean ones becoming that way as a result of having to continually deal with the stupid.

Im guessing the victim was bieng a typical Wilmar asshole over the perps stupidity and old Delbert decided that 81 years of that sort of treatment was about enough.

Wait a minute. So they were on the property doing chores then kicked off and told to not return on Friday....then on Saturday they come back with a rifle and shoot the guy under the guise of "defending themselves." How are they only getting 2nd degree murder?
