Maybe this guy should make a video of all his failed suicide attempts.

He could be the new Super Dave, or something.

I was going to suggest he find a taller building, but then I Iowa'd.

Third story? Why don't people do their research? Suicide really is something you want to do properly, especially if you don't want to wind up crippled or a vegetable.

3rd story, that is like the tallest building in Waterloo, should have sucked lead from a 45.

To be fair, falls from the third story CAN be fatal. It's just not very reliable.

The decision to terminate one's own life is possibly one of the greatest life decisions one can make.

It deserves a google on the terminal velocity of a human body and what to get there before finding out a 35 mph sudden stop might only send you to the hospital and make you look like an idiot at the least.

That or take a vacation to somewhere with taller buildings or at least a tall bridge.

A guy jumped from the 5th level of the parking garage at work. Landed on his feet, rammed his femurs into his pelvis, severed his femoral artery, and bled out.

I don't think he really meant to die - I mean, third story? It's like ODing on pills where someone will discover you - part cry for help, part giving fate a chance to intervene instead of certain death.

Remember kids there is no such thing as a suicide survivor, only suicide failures.

Also reminds of his idiot back in my home town; he thought he'd end it all by stopping his Ford Bronco on a hill, putting it in neutral, getting out running down the hill and laying down in it's rolling path. Only problem he didn't aim worth shiat, ended up only running over his legs and breaking the both.

I thought a three story fall has decent probability of initial survival, although it will injure you severely. He should have gone at least 5 stories if he wanted good odds of instant death on impact. It seems more like a cry for help.

Yes it can be if you land in just the right way, or wrong way depending on what you are going for. So's a one story fall. The issue is that there is decent probability of surviving a three-story fall if you don't land on you head or neck. If he wanted to commit suicide, he should have gone higher to guarantee an instant splat.
