Slideshow? No.

I'll give them 1. Just one. Starting pitching. Please, Yo can't carry them all. And Greinke is gonna run out of magic at some point, although I hope not.

Why should they move? They may be the smallest metro area to host an MLB team, but they're ranked #7 of 30 in attendance and #17 of 30 in payroll size. They're doing better in Milwaukee than a lot of other teams are doing in much bigger metro areas.

I dont know much about Wisconsin. I do know they are famous for cheese and beer. It seems like a lovely place.

That was kinda silly, those are all things you tell any playoff team to do. Have good starting pitching, get to the opponent's bullpen as early as possible, don't let the other team's best player beat you, don't give up a bunch of HRs, and take a game on the road. Please show me a playoff series where these are not advisable goals. Obvious list is obvious.

/obvious closing comment about obviousness is also obvious

Such insight. About on par with the local radio sportstalk guys who conclude "They're just going to need to score more runs than the other team."

It seems Wisconsin is a good place for sports right now.

That, and... their former owner? Bud Selig. Brewers ain't never gonna move as long as Bud is Commissioner of Baseball.

How is your brilliant plan to start Kotsay working out for you now Roenicke?

No, it's horrible and nobody else should move here.

That "better starting pitching" slide is pretty hilarious at present.

Wisconsion is actually a good sports state. It's not big, but it's fanbases become quite dedicated, which leads to good money.

Milwaukee should keep pretending Pujols is not as hot as he has ever been. Just keep on pitching to him...it's really genius. But hell, it looks like over half the lineup is on fire in this series, so I guess they have no choice.

The five correct steps to avoid game 2 repeats:
1: Don't let Pujols beat you
2: Stop throwing strikes to Pujols
3: Again? Stop grooving it to Pujols
4: Seriously? Another double? Lucroy, stand up and extend your right arm!
5: OK fine, new plan since you ignored rules 1-4. Score 15 runs.

Someone didn't read that at Bottom-1st last night.

After only reading the headline of each of the five reasons, two things popped in my head...

1. No shiat.

2. Did John Madden write this article?

I hate baseball. I could not stop hyperventilating last night from the time Kotsay hit his homer until the pathetic 9th inning crapfest. I just want the Brewers to win the World Series, why is that SO much to ask? We are now down 1-2 and I have been miserable every single day since the first pitch at Arizona. I keep feeling we are teetering on the edge of a knife, and every second that passes gets me closer to a heart attack (I'm from Wisconsin, of course I sound as fat as I am).

We need to win the next 2 and close it out in game 6 if i am to retain sanity. I cannot handle another elimination game, I will lose it.

The NLCS is clearly just Fielder and Pujols auditioning to be the Cubs' starting first baseman next year.

Signing a big free agent next year is the last thing the Cubs need. They are not going to contend for a few more years. The goal right now should be getting rid of the unproductive free agents, developing young talent, and looking forward to 3-4 years from now.

Last I heard, Baltimore was in the running too. Is this factual?

I have a feeling #4 is going to prove to be somewhat difficult to accomplish. Ever since the Cards traded away Rasmus & acquired Jackson (SP), Dotel, & Rzepczynski (RPs), allowing McClellan to move to the 'pen, they've been so much better. Last night: 4 IP by Salas, Lynn, Zipper, & Motte; 0 base-runners allowed with 4 K's.

#1 is kind of a 'no-shiat, Sherlock' statement. Takes 3 games for the Redbirds to clinch (now 2), with that many games left in St. Louis.

It's no wonder they lost... Their Racing Sausages were too busy hanging out with the Goo Goo Dolls in Milwaukee to watch the game.
