Is a fitness conscious zombie REALLY conscious or does it just look conscious because it's wearing a jogging suit?

This question may be on your Philosophy 101 exam, so you should be able to explain and contrast the views of various philosophers on the subject, such as Plato, Descartes, Nietzsche, Kant, Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Richards and, of course, I.A. Richards.

Anyone else feeling the whole zombie thing has jumped the zombie jesus shark?

/once mainstream media got into, you know its become lame

Keith Richards: "Gah! It's a zombie in a jogging suit!

This raises the question of whether consciousness is a purely subjective or an objective phenomenon which can be determined by sense-data. Just in case, I'm not giving up my "I Ain't Dead Yet" Medic Alert Bracelet. Best not to leave determinations of existential questions to the objectivity and intellect of an ambulance driver or medic."

Rule # 83.. Do not advertise or dress like a zombie as you may be shot by woody harrelson in his normal "Highly Vigilant" state.

get it right, Jesus is not a Zombie...Jesus is a VAMPIRE. Evidence includes "Needs to be invited into your home" "Takes a night or two to rise from the dead" and "Walks on water" (That "can't cross running water"" bit clearly was a corruption of the original)

Sweet. Time to rent out a sheriff's costume and start work on my "Walking Dead" fan fiction movies!

celery_stalker: This is similar but cooler. (new window)

Damn you, you beat me to it. I was going to link the exact same thing. I may sign up for the one in 2012 (how fitting) in Austin.

In other related"fun run" news, I'm doing one in a tiny TX town this November.

20 mind-blowing obstacles in 3.5 miles of mud. Afterwards: BBQ and BEER. (new window)

Can't decide on a costume though. Power Rangers or Mario Bros. Characters?

I'd love to be able to get to one but I'm in Buffalo, NY , although we did have one I wore my gopro on. (new window)

Ha, a mud run in Buffalo in November... Hm... I'd pass on that. :P

But that's a nice video. Coincidentally, I had planned on recording the adventure as well. The GoPro is a little pricey for me, and I can get a Kodak PlaySport for a little cheaper, but I've heard the GoPro is by far the best "mud cam" money can buy. What do you think? And how did you secure it to your body? Looks like you had it strapped to a hat/helmet with little to no shakes/bumps in the recording.

Check out the Gopro 960, a lot more affordable and for youtube videos fine quality. Mine came with a headstrap but I bought extra stickers and put them on my skate helmet. I'd buy another gopro in a heartbeat, they're great for action sports, waterproof and can take a lot of impact, and have plenty of attachments to fasten to almost anything.

Wait, you're going walking in the Kentucky woods, at night, dressed as zombies?

Farewell and adieu to you sweet Spanish ladies,
Farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain...

To be fair, it's not in Kentucky, it's in Louisville. I mean, seriously? A "fitness-conscious" Kentuckian? What's that, somebody who stops after 2 bowls of gravy?

Remember the scene in Jaws where Quint asks Hooper about the shark cage? Same idea.

This is not even the most interesting zombie related thing in Louisville. The August zombie walk is much more fun, and there's drinking.

Spanky_McFarksalot: hmmm, this whole zombie thing, which was cool, is starting to become uncool.

The zombie hipsters make their presence known.

"Zombies were only cool when they were a thinly veiled metaphor for post-collapse survivors used by survivalists."
"Zombies were only cool when they were metaphors for post-colonial racism."
"Zombies were cool before my mom and dad started watching The Walking Dead."

Amusingly enough, I know my SCA/Medieval songs just fine, but still haven't seen Jaws. Go figure.

First thing I thought of is some backwoods goober who didn't get the zombie memo, hunting possums or whatever in the woods with his trusty boom-boom stick, and suddenly he sees a horde of zombies coming up the hill.
