From what I can tell, the white dude (TWD) drank the Puerto Rican guy's beer, then TWD said "I don't like Puerto Ricans." Then everyone left the bar, and TWD came at TPRG and his girlfriend with a baseball bat basicailly out of nowhere, and TPRG was able to get the baseball bat away from TWD. Sounds like TWD is angry and easily provoked.

I thought Puerta Rico was part of America somehow. Oh I guess it is. My dad was a capital cop when some PR Nationalists shot-up congress in the 50's ( in an oft-forgotten incident)

I have a good dubby who's a PJ.
When we first started hanging out, I told his wife he was an illiterate Puerto Rican.
She told him and he was pissed. He was going to knock my block off.
He was so upset that I would imply that he didn't know who his parents were.
But.. after I "'Splained" to him what it meant. . . He failed to grasp the irony of the situation, but did calm down. And bought me a drink. Truth was, he really couldn't get mad, he could not read or write any language.

Also, while we have two official languages, Spanish is our sole native language.

Who did the bat belong to? It seems from that aritcle that it was TWD's bat. Odds are that whomever pulled the bat has responsability for what happened.
If you try to beat someone with a bat and he wrestles it from you and beats the shiat out of you that really should be self-defense. Did TPRG maybe beat him too hard after taking the bat... IDK. But he had obviously been drinking and that makes it harder to measure strenght. He wouldn't have been in a position to have to mind his stenght when beating someone with a bat if TWD hadn't decided to get all batman in the first place.
