Ivan Yankinov: i was this kids handler during a comiccon event in NYC some years ago. he was wild back then, to say the least. the pictures i have of the shiat he did could prob make me some money, but im not an asshole like that. lets just say it snowed alot in june in nyc for this kid and his brother.

He looks like frosted donuts make him go nuts.

And then he eats all the donuts.

growing cannabis plants

I had no idea the riots went on long enough to grow plants.

/you're a dumbass, subby

So it wasn't Ron Weasley this time? Color me shocked!

Or was that a Harry Potter reference? I wouldn't know because I'm an adult.

/but I have read the complete works of the 18th-century poet and philosopher William Blake, so fark off.

I'm sorry for him, but when you think how many kids were thrown into the crucible, to have only one fark up is pretty remarkable. It says a great deal about the film makers.

I guess he blew that HP money already...

I wonder if this is why his character was written out of the last movie.

Now I'm confused. Would this be points taken away from or given to Slytherin? I'd say taken away from, but some Slytherins would say this deserves points.

Hey, I guess he had to get back on the tv somehow...

I heard that he was asking for too much money. After all, in the book his character had a crucial role to play in destroying one of the horcruxes. What he didn't count on is that his character was interchangeable with Goyle and audiences wouldn't notice the difference.

Was it coke or growing pot plants? I know it's nothing to do with this story but I think subby was referencing when one of them was busted growing the ganja.

Ahhh here we go - Wiki:

On April 7, 2009, Waylett and a friend were pulled over by police after Waylett took a photograph of the officers' car as they drove past. The officers then searched the boys' vehicle, finding a knife and eight bags of cannabis.[2] Other images on the camera led police to Waylett's mother's house, where ten additional cannabis plants were discovered being grown.

Ivan Yankinov

but this kid told me about shiat he was doing while filming the HP movies. getting locked up and beat by london cops for various drug offenses. stuff like that. but the worse part was his money grubbing mother seemed to not care, as long as she got that money from the con promoter and was able to go shopping everyday. sickened me really but it was my job at the time and bills needed to be paid

So you didn't care so long as the money came in? That reminds me of a story I heard about this kid from the Harry Potter movies and his mom and how she didn't care about what happened so long as she got paid.

Nah, JK Rowling's just not a very good writer, characters appeared and disappeared without explanation more or less at random. You can't really expect tight plotting and good control of the cast list from a series of children's books written by a bored housewife.

If anything, the movies were a bit of an improvement on the books, consistency-wise.

Wow, really? This kid would be doing this crap if Ivan were there or not, possibly more if the guy who replaced Ivan were into that stuff. Sometimes you need to put up with bullshiat and shiatty people in your job. So what? Do you quit? Fine, how are you going to pay the mortgage and feed your family?

I actually fond it rather authentic; not everybody you meet -particularly in your school years- becomes a friend-for-life and important player in your world, particularly if your world consists of dangerous people constantly trying to murder you. People who were super-important for a year or two can become folks you rarely speak with by the time you reach graduation in just normal day life; I'd imagine that sort of "companion attrition" would be even higher for someone like Harry Potter.

Also, I was under the impression she started writing the books when she was flat-out broke.

Was it that while she didn't have much money, she was able to pursue writing full time after getting a government grant to write the books?

One of my friends does this and she tends to have more problems with the fans then the stars. I always assume if I was an actor I would be doing a lot of drugs all the time because why the hell not.
