This is tragic. Mostly because they had no business heading out in that weather with a small child and and their 80 yr old grandma.

Nothing is worse than glinging to a boat.

Besides that, it's terrible glinging weather.

I don't always gling in the water, but when I do, I prefer glinging to a boat.

How the FARK does a deformed headline like this get greenlight? Certainly not because of the "beer cooler was saved" joke. If you RTFA, you'll find that the beer cooler was used as a floatation device to save lives. So the whole "save the beer" joke goes out the window.

Oh. Silly me. It's because we're all going to have fun creating jokes about the word "glinging". Next greenlit FARK headline: "OWS protesters arrested for glinging in public". Hey! Maybe if we misspell that last word, it'll say "pubic" and we'll get double lulz. The possibilities are endless!

Well, the child... unless their grandma is senile or something I figure she can make that choice for herself.

The thought, of course, does occur that perhaps, just maybe the person who gave this the nod found it as amusing as everyone else who mentions the gling?

See the article had a typo in the headline, and so subby picked up on that. Then an editor finally decided to read the original article and corrected the spelling. Wait, what is the rule about if you have to explain the joke it is ruined...?

Twelve red lights this morning? Who has time to make twelve headlines? Oh, you must be a OWS'er. You should write a headline about that, I hear that all of those go green.

How the Glark does a gleformed gleadline like this get gleenlight? Glertainly not because of the "gleer glooler was glaved" joke. If you RTFA, you'll find that the gleer glooler was used as a gloatation glevice to save glives. So the whole "save the gleer glooler" gloke goes out the glindow.

Oh. Glilly me. It's because we're all going to have glun glreating glokes about the word "glinging". Next glreenlit GLARK headline: "GLOWS protesters glarrested for glinging in public". gley! Maybe if we glisspell that last glord, it'll say "glubic" and we'll get double glulz. The possibilities are glendless!
