(Mediaite)   Fox News reporter isn't angry about children being poor, but he IS angry about Sesame Street including a poor Muppet. "Do we single out the black Muppet? Or the Hispanic Muppet? Why do we need to single out the hungry Muppet?"   (mediaite.com) divider line 204

Hey, Eric... Didn't you make your fortune trading the everyday goods people need to survive? Yeah, how about you shut your f*cking mouth and go enjoy your money.

There are starving kids in America and you people just don't give a f*ck. I hope you die of ass cancer.

Being poor is a choice... Herman Cain told me so... The only person Lilly the Muppet has to blame is herself...

One of my cousins teaches 4th graders in San Diego...about half of her students are enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program.

Said cousin was laid off from her job earlier this year...she and many other laid-off teachers were rehired a couple of months ago as substitute teachers so the district won't have to pay for full benefits...but that's another story.

How much are they paying these people to spout off stupid shiat like this? I want in on this. I could make up some pretty good derp for some cash. I mean, it would take a little work to have to think ahead to take out anything intelligent from a statement before spewing forth on a Fox show, but I could work it out for some money.

In a realistic Sesame Street, the poor muppet would wiegh 270 pounds and struggle with juvenile diabeetus. The sad truth is that obesity has become a much bigger bugaboo to the poor in America than hunger; it just doesn't sell as well.

While Bob Beckel tried his best to explain that one in five children go to bed hungry and the character would therefore be a good educational tool, Bolling just couldn't wrap his head around the idea.

BOLLING: Why does Lily have to be a Muppet? Why does Sesame Street have to make Lily a poverty-stricken little Muppet?

BECKEL: Because the Muppets, the reason it's been so successful for so long is that it educates kids...*unintelligible*...unlike people who have kids with beach houses.

I don't know who this Bob Beckel character is, but he sure talks like a dirty hippie.

And much much easier to access than say...a grocery store.

Go through any poor neighborhood and count how many grocery stores there are. Then count how many fast food places there are.

It's a societal problem.

if the poor and those who live near poor didn't have TV sets, Sesame Street wouldn't be trying to cater to them by introducing a muppet that makes them feel included.

the best way to do ensure this doesn't happen is to raise the prices of TVs, refrigerators, and computers -- because we know the poor shouldn't be able to afford them.

TVs and computers are obvious: limit their access to information

Refrigerators is an easy call once you understand that without the means of keeping milk cold a child can't grow or their brain won't develop correctly -- no audience ensures Sesame Street won't focus on this type of character.

The people on Sesame Street have been able to see Snuffleupagus for years. They didn't want kids thinking "grown ups won't believe you, so don't tell them anything," just in case any of the audience had some Uncles With Benefits.

Yeah, but aren't refrigerators included in just about every apartment or rental home?

Sesame Street started as a show for poverty-stricken inner city kids. It evolved into a more mainstream show over the years (so they could sell Tickle Me Elmo), but having a poor Muppet is not a new thing. Look at Oscar. He's been the crazy homeless Muppet since the show started.

2011-10-09 05:54:21 PM
They actually DID have a black Muppet (tm, Oz and Henson, both RIP) , and they've included many hispanic traits into Muppets, and actually had two or three Hispanic Muppets.

He's right you know. The Muppets are supposed to be setting a good example, role models. Since when is some poor, hungry person a good role model? Sesame Street has been infiltrated by socialists, out to destroy America's once great Capitalist ethos. Teaching children to be lazy, and look for hand outs from Big Daddy government. It's all so clear, just look at those leftists and their Occupy Wall Street/DC stuff, they're trying to bring down the government, those in power, in order to get handouts. So they can sit around singing dumb protest songs and demanding that my money be stolen from me by force, from the government. These anarchists will stop at nothing, with their insidious plot to subvert our children with poor muppets, these socialists, bringing down America with their propaganda, their hands out. Like Nazis. Nazis always had their hands out, raised up, demanding that the government take money away from hard working citizens, and give it out to lazy Marxists. So they can spend their money on wild sex orgies, these degenerate Nazi anarchists have yet to meet a sexual act that's too perverted for them. Take my word for it, they'll do anything. And they want us to be like them, perverted degenerate Nazi anarchists. Look at what they're doing to marriage, soon they'll be teaching our children to be little perverts, through Sesame Street. Can't you all see it? Lily? Sounds an awful lot like Lilith to me. That's right, Lilith. As in Lilith Fair. Which existed solely to push the feminist leftist anarcho-nazi agenda. Lily's going to turn our good Christian daughters into perverted lesbians, who will have sex with everything they can, and then get government funded abortions. It's all so obvious, yet so insidious. But I'm onto them, oh yes, I'm onto them.
