Because admins rarely actually check the links. Mostly the greenlight headlines for their own sake.

2011-10-07 02:47:20 PM
I'm confused. The headline is going all class warfare on us, but the article is an even-tempered evaluation of some good news about the economy. Did subby mean to link something else?

2011-10-07 02:47:37 PM
That doesn't even make sense, subby. 108k is well below the expansion threshold, much less the significantly higher number we need to actually bring unemployment down.

I'm curious to see how the hippies plan to Occupy Winter. Bonfires? Propane stoves? I'm assuming they've planned that far ahead.

2011-10-07 02:52:23 PM
So reports of increases in hiring are false? Is that really what subtard is claiming?

2011-10-07 02:52:33 PM
It's funny to see news outlets spin 100k new jobs as good news. It is horrible. Likely it is mostly people moving from one job to another since lots of people are now contractors. I got hired once each of the last 2 years and I am unemployed right now because my contract ended. How does that work with the statistics?

2011-10-07 02:54:27 PM
And yet this submission was also apparently extracted rectally.

Expect a heavy focus on Occupy Phoenix, Occupy Miami and Occupy Houston.

2011-10-07 02:56:00 PM
hired more people
people were downsized 3 years ago
aren't as many new jobs as there were old ones
new jobs pay half as much or less

and don't forget the increased population

WAY TO GO!

OK, the Mods aren't even pretending to try now.

Hope the checks are worth it Drew.

2011-10-07 02:57:50 PM
Subby's point is, grrr, both parties are the same! Obama proposing spending bills to boost employment is EXACTLY THE SAME as the teabagger-scared Republicans adamantly blocking those bills! Only underemployed, upper-middle-class kids sitting in the street, proposing a disparate grab bag of magical wishes (End greed! Stop corporate money in elections even though the Supreme Court says it's OK!) can save us now.

2011-10-07 02:58:30 PM
DarwiOdrade: So reports of increases in hiring are false? Is that really what subtard is claiming?

FWIW, macroeconomic data often gets revised after its initial release, due to difficulties in compiling survey data across a whole nation. For example, Last month's "0 jobs created" already got revised upwards to 57,000, and GDP numbers often get tweaked years after their initial publication. This of course does not excuse any trolling.

Would WWII have happened if Hitler had not started #OccupyPoland?

To give subby the benefit of the doubt.... maybe the link changed since he submitted it? Otherwise, I don't get it.

'TeaBagger slaves' seen repeating the Koch bros words of "new jobs are because some union people are no longer on strike".
Well that obviously means that the striking workers must of been fired at the start of the strike, so the job loss went up and then when the strike ended, the job gains went up.

I'm sure you are trolling, but, when Union employees go on strike people along the supply chain get fired. My girlfriend is non union factory worker, they laid off an entire shift of people because of a strike by union workers further down the supply chain.

My brother is union and that happened to him. He puts the electronics in large mining machines. If the machines aren't there he can't work. So I see the benefit of a union when things like that happen.

BUT one day he sat in the parking lot talking to me for 2 hours when he was on his shift... I wonder if a similar circumstance is responsible for his shop's supply issue.

See that's the best thing! The government does the bailouts, the brokers and top 1% attract these jobless, unemployed layabouts, and then winter comes along and kills off all these damn dirty hippies.

When are people going to start going to jail for defrauding the United States citizens and causing a global economic crisis? This is financial warfare by large corporations against actual people and our government is on their side because they have long been paid off. Corporations are not people. Get money out of politics.

I'm not sure. I might be more "mad" were he not wearing those fingerless gloves. That is really subtracting from the image he is trying to build. It takes a certain kind of guy to pull that look off, and I have bad news, no matter how 1% he is, he'll never be the guy that can wear those gloves.

Furthermore, curtain-less windows and a corner lamp from Target causes me to doubt the veracity of this young man's statements. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this is some random guy who has access to a magic marker, notebook paper, digital camera and possibly fetish leather-wear.

Because, as we all know, anybody who has ever used a product made by a corporation is completely unable to criticize any corporation for any thing.

Much like how anybody who has ever walked on a public road is unable to criticize the government.

I found it ironic how he admitted his parents paid for his schooling. I paid for my schooling. Well, technically, I'm still paying for it. Damn loans, and it took me forever to find a full-time job and it's not even related to what I went to school for. The qualifications said college degree preferred, but one does not need it. Essentially they need to know how to use a computer and answer phones.
