"Kevvi macht Bayern (Bavaria)" is more appropriate than "Kevvi macht Deutschland".

Bavaria is a southern state in Germany where Lederhosen etc. are traditional outfits. Those of us that live in the north often make fun of the people from Bavaria. I have no problem with Texas, but the Germans outside of Bavaria often compare Germany's Bavaria to Texas in the U.S. (different mentality than most others in the country and a feeling of superiority). OK, that is generalizing which I hate to do, but my point is that Germans often laugh when Americans associate Lederhosen and Oktoberfest to all of Germany.

This was an educational post that will probably go unread.

She told me where she was from, and I could have sworn that the town was in Bavaria, so I said, "That's in Bavaria, right?" Holy crap.
