I think it's a very happy coincidence that the massively crazy candidates have arisen during a time when virtually every campaign event is recorded from start to finish.

It's not a coincidence. they were always this crazy. It's just that beofre the Internet and 24hr news media, there were fewer people who would hear of such an iditioic statement, and it was harder to fact check the other ones.

Where's the reasoning behind the call for impeachment anyway?
Obama may or may not suck as a POTUS, but I can't see where he has done anything criminal.

Other than POTUSing while brown of course.

Someone tried to convince me that the $500M to the company that went bankrupt was some kind of criminal dealing and that they are going to throw Biden under the bus and replace him for the next election. Same person has been trying to convince me that Obama is going to be asked to step down so Hilary can run, so I question his sanity.

This is what I was thinking. It may also have something to do with the conventions picking the nominee without popular opinion kept the crazies out. It's only been in the last 50 years that random people could actually get involved.

I guess that is one benefit to being picked as a candidate in backroom deals. The party bosses wouldn't let anyone run that they feared would make the party look like an idiot.

On the other hand, if that were still the case, we wouldn't have had the fresh perspective Tea Partiers.

Hell i'll even switch over to R from I in the primary here to vote for you if you promise you will do as I ask.

A bit like Obama calling for the slow and eventual destruction of private health care so it can be replaced with socialized medicine in no way should be construed as his actual intention to do so using his healthcare bill as a foot in the door method... Nope, calling it a government take over of health care is the biggest lie that has ever been told.

But I could see where liberals are coming from when it comes to Obama... You're not suppose to take him at his word or actually hold him accountable for anything he said or did, because that's just how poor of a human being he really is. Even liberals recognize that Republicans have more character and what they said should be taken seriously than Obama.

Notice how the people who scream how much they love the country the loudest and wrap themselves in the flag 24/7 actually don't give a fark about said country?

And they nicely overlap with the group who claim to be the most Christian and yet act the most unChrist like.

make me some tea: And it's starting to look as if Eric Holder did as well.

How ironic would it be that on both sides of the Bush Administration, we have Executive officials impeached - a President and (potentially) an Attorney General - yet the Bush crowd was "off limits"? (And still is...no statute of limitations on war crimes and such. Just sayin'.)

I would not be sad to hear of Holder's departure, but hearing that Fredo Gonzales was fired (out of a cannon, into the sun) back in 2004 would have been cause for celebration and dancing.

// and perhaps some fraternity pranks

Confused about a world that has changed dramatically within his lifetime.

Technically no because to perjure yourself you need to lie under oath about a material fact. Since PJ's lawsuit was dismissed for failure to state a claim (ie was considered groundless) the deposition was, by definition immaterial. He still should have just told the truth but as far as it being a criminal act, no.

Probably to remind people that people like Bachmann should be kept far away from any position of any kind of power and staying home on election day is a bad idea.

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

I'm sure they could trump up something that falls in the high crimes and misdemeanors. Clinton was impeached over perjury.

They're crazy enough to try something similar, but they won't move to impeach until after the election. A frivolous impeachment now would boost his re-election chances.

Huh, didn't know that. Admittedly I haven't really paid too much attention to this Holder thing beyond headlines at this point. Since there's so much garbage being said by the Right constantly about Obama's administration, I'm kinda numb to all of it anymore.

Well . . . .

Bush put in illegal wire taps etc. Obama has not made any moves to repeal. Impeach one, arrest the one who is no longer in office.

Right? Intellectually consistent?
