I used to live in a half-duplex with a largish back yard. My neighbor would watch me work back there on occasion, while getting ready to shower in her second-floor bath with the big window. On occasion, she would be... absentmindedly dressed, and clearly aware that I wasn't looking up as I worked for no reason.

There were also times when she'd sit on the back porch with my wife and me drinking wine; she was sociable with us as well. There were no problems, unless unusually cheerful smiling at each other counts as a problem. We all got along smashingly, and never a word was said about the yardwork or the shower.

Of course, my wife never knew why I enjoyed yard work at that place, not so far as I know. Perhaps we've isolated the issue here.

Anyway, it's perfectly normal to enjoy a little low-risk affirmation from the security of one's own home, and I know my neighbor brightened my day more than once.

Ain't no shame in it. I believe this to be true, and trust the contents of my inbox will soon reflect that.
