"Limbaugh's full of shiat." I have to agree. He said that he is not going to sink to their level.

"Not going to sink to their level", while he says Limbaugh's "full of shiat" and endorses Al Franken, who constantly grabs his crotch while talking about Republicans he doesn't like and cusses everyone- journalists and politicians- out at Washington media events?

Whatever you say Wessy.

Don't quote out of context, Raln. Here's the full line:
He said: "Limbaugh's full of shiat." I have to agree. He said that he is not going to sink to their level. He said that he needs us to call the radio stations and do what needs to be done.

From that passage, I get his meaning to be that he's not going to publicly proclaim what an idjit Rush Limbaugh is. Compare that to Limbaugh's continuous spewing of trash on the radio, for the whole world to hear.

I hardly think that saying privately (and he did say this privately) what we all know to be true is the same as sinking to the level of one who publicly proclaims little more than lies.

Point noted.

2003-09-24 10:28:15 AM
Finally, political discourse that I can understand.

2003-09-24 12:10:39 PM
Damn, this thread's almost civilized.

Yup, sounds civilized to me.

Yup, sounds civilized to me.

At least you didn't try to claim he was wrong.

2003-09-24 12:48:19 PM
Is Limbaugh in this thread? I don't think the quote "limbaugh's continuous spewing of trash" was directed at anyone here. Thus making this thread "almost civilized".

Also, please do try to argue Limbaugh doesn't spew trash - for my amusement.

2003-09-24 12:48:23 PM

Yeah, because as a right-wing talk show host, he would do so much better if he didn't talk about politics. No matter what side of the fence you're on, politics=trash spewing.

2003-09-24 01:44:57 PM
Yeah, because as a right-wing talk show host, he would do so much better if he didn't talk about politics.

But where else would I turn to keep getting reminded that Clinton is evil because he got a blow job? (Besides some Fark threads, I suppose.)

No matter what side of the fence you're on, politics=trash spewing.

I find that point hard to argue with.

2003-09-24 01:48:53 PM
Let me also note an area of discomfort--while Clark did not himself sink to Limbaugh's level by publicly proclaiming him "full of shiat," he did encourage his faithful to "sink to their level" by asking them to call the stations and do so themselves.

2003-09-24 01:50:41 PM
Holy crap. I sure am glad I bought this house with a nookyoolerr attack bunker. *runs away*

2003-09-24 02:30:49 PM
I've only seen Rush on NFL Countdown (I've heard of the trash he's said though), and I think he's full of poop there. Ann Coulter is worse I find.

2003-09-24 03:05:29 PM
I can't listen to that ass pimple without wanting to throw the radio across the room.

2003-09-24 03:50:42 PM
This is going to get him in trouble. Fox News already owns the trademark for "Full of shiat" and will probably sue.

2003-09-24 03:56:25 PM
Saying Limbaugh is full of shiat isn't sinking to Limbaugh's level.

Limbaugh IS full of shiat. Saying he's full of shiat is NOT dishonest, nor a lie - which means it isn't sinking to Limbaugh's level.

E.g.: Donna Shalala said on CNN's "Capital Gang" that, "We sent not the best and the brightest's sons to Vietnam. Shalala had been referring to the sons of "the best and the brightest," a term coined by David Halberstam for the men in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations.

After hearing this, Limbaugh, Oliver North and double G Liddy claimed Shalala said, "We sent not the best and the brightest (no 's) sons to Vietnam." They claimed that she said that those that went to Vietnam were not the best and the brightest. (Actually on the show, when someone said, Actually, the people who went were the best and the brightest, Shalala responded, absolutely.)

Josette Shiver, managing editor of the Washing Times, was on the show when Shalala made these comments and called Liddy, North and Limbaugh to tell them that their quote was wrong. Liddy and North both admitted on their shows to making an error, while one of Limbaugh's top people say, "that's her problem". This happened in April. In the June issue of the Limbaugh Letter he was still misquoting her.

Now with improved non-directional quotes for visibilty!

At least he didn't repeat the old joke:

Q: What's the difference between Rush Limbaugh and the Hindenberg?

A: One is a huge, flaming Nazi gasbag. The other is a zeppelin.

2003-09-24 04:52:01 PM
Reminds me of when Limbaugh was on Letterman, this was back on his NBC show so it was some time ago... the interview goes along for a while and then Dave says something like, "do you ever sometimes think to yourself, 'you know, I'm just a big bag of hot gas'?"

2003-09-24 04:56:45 PM
I remember that, Peaceboy. On that same show, Limbaugh also made some crack about Hillary Clinton's looks, to which Letterman commmented something like, "And, of course, you can say that, because you are obviously the best-looking human being on the planet, right?" This was back in the days when Limbaugh must have tipped the scales at around 300 lbs.

Ok, who is publishing love letters to Clark on the Internet?

2003-09-24 06:56:41 PM
lololol lambag is teh ghey!!!!111

2003-09-24 06:57:39 PM
I guess stating the obvious makes one presidential material.

2003-09-24 06:59:34 PM
Wow, if Clark can't last a week without making such a massive political statement...he's not going to last long

2003-09-24 06:59:42 PM
Rush is cool...Liberals are idiots...flame away....

2003-09-24 07:00:55 PM
Rush Limbaugh is a dumb piece of shiat. The idiot couldn't even hack a single semester of college education. I wish Wesley Clark would show some real cojones and pray for his death.

2003-09-24 07:02:37 PM
Sweet -- the daily evening-shift flamewar has arrived!

/happy

2003-09-24 07:02:46 PM
whoa!...i am so behind the times...here i am thinking he was just a big, fat idiot

2003-09-24 07:02:47 PM
So that was my experience. Hot, sweaty, powerful, and somewhat intense.

Wesley is a RIGHT manly man!

General Shelton: "Wes Clark is full of shiat"

2003-09-24 07:03:55 PM
Well...one thing's for sure....

Wesley Clark sure tells the truth!

/Rush is a domestic terrorist

2003-09-24 07:04:35 PM
I heard that after the event, Wes Clark drove his pickup truck over to Rush Limbaugh's house and pulled it off its foundation with his trailer hitch.

2003-09-24 07:05:42 PM
"Full of sh*t" means 'having bad data' or 'coming to erroneous conclusions' not 'telling lies'.
Limbaugh probably believes what he says. He's just . . well . . full of sh*t.

2003-09-24 07:06:12 PM
Ok, who is publishing love letters to Clark on the Internet?

yeah i think we know what this guy was getting at when he said "Clark reminded me of Kennedy . . . Kennedy probably liked girls a little more."
from the gushing in that post i'd say he wants to give more to clark than a vote.
(assuming bleachers7 is a dude)

2003-09-24 07:06:13 PM
Shouldn't the headline be subject to the "shiat" filter?

2003-09-24 07:06:13 PM
What, we're linking to other Blogs now? How lame is that? Meanwhile, my incredibly witty link regarding the overturn of the Do Not Call List doesn't get posted.

Yo, mods, lay off the Methanphetamines for a while.

2003-09-24 07:06:30 PM

Waaaa

2003-09-24 07:07:27 PM
The Democratic Underground - for those times when the Yellow Times just isn't stupid and paranoid enough.

2003-09-24 07:08:00 PM
Sweet, a flamefest based upon a web entry that seemed to have been written by the smartest 7th grader in his/her school.

/Not even going to debate Rush.
//The asshole, not the band.

2003-09-24 07:08:13 PM
Great use of tag.

2003-09-24 07:08:30 PM
First sign that Clark is worth voting for: The Republicans have their panties in a bunch about him. That's a good sign.

Anyone who the NaziCons see as a threat is OK by me. I'll be at the forefront of Republicans for Clark next year.

2003-09-24 07:08:31 PM
Yep. I'm voting for Clark now.

2003-09-24 07:08:33 PM
Wes Clark: "Mr Rove? Can you hear me now?"

2003-09-24 07:08:39 PM
Okay, now that this is up, could everyone please stop accusing the mods of being rabidly right-wing?

2003-09-24 07:09:00 PM
Rush Limbaugh IS full of shiat.
His brother is twice as full of shiat.
Wesley Clark wants steak.

2003-09-24 07:09:35 PM
Heh :)

He's got my vote.

2003-09-24 07:09:37 PM
As a Republican, I think Clark is an interesting person and a good candidate. But stuff like this throws it off.

Also, why is fark so in love with Clark these past few days?

2003-09-24 07:09:53 PM
Oooh, sounds like some blogger has a crush!

2003-09-24 07:10:28 PM
Also, why is fark so in love with Clark these past few days?

Seeing as how they always net at least 400 comments, I'd guess---because it's good for traffic.

2003-09-24 07:10:34 PM
You people do realize that DU is the liberal equivalent of the crazy right-wing nutso boards out there, don't you? Do not expect anything based in facct to come out of either one.
