Why take your helmet off during a fight? It seems like good protection.

My advice for the first guy is that if you have no idea how to fight, don't pick one. He got dropped like a sack of potatoes.

I like how the guy on the bike is the first person to cut other people off....but when someone cuts him off he gets all pissy.

He must be a liberal.

pdee: Why take your helmet off during a fight? It seems like good protection.

Someone can grab the helmet by the part that is below the visor and in front of the chin. Using that they can control your head fairly easily.

I had the impression that the biker rode past the car, and the car's driver got pissed "just because" he got passed (I've seen this plenty of times in the past) and drove around to block off the biker.

The biker should have left his helmet on.

In general, the main thing I get out of this video is that drivers and bikers in Russia are all assholes.

I think it was less he was upset he got cut off and more upset that the other driver was about half an inch from running him over.

Bike was probably pretty quick. Shoulda stayed on it and sped off. Or just rush the 2nd guy with a helmet headbutt and then speed off.

The prancing and dancing was funny with the Dixieland though.

doesn't look like the biker gave two shiats until the guy angles in and gets out of the car and approaches the biker.

Watching the driver stumble back into the fray was hilarious though.

I have the feeling something happened prior to what we see in the video. Biker probably did some asshole move further back and the car driver confronted him on it when they got to the light.

yeah.. don't pick a fight if you can't take a hit. having your buddy passenger bail you out is panzy as hell

/assuming the biker didn't do something totally asshattery earlier on

Actually I think the issue was the guy cut him off and then got out of the car to accost him. He was probably happy to just motor on by him.

Also... you're an idiot.

You can see the bike on a cross street to the right in the first 5 seconds. The car is no where to be seen.

My interpretation:
Bike pulls around cars stopped at light.
Car pulls around bike, almost hits him
Biker pushes against car to push his bike back
Driver gets out, gets his ass kicked
Hijinks ensue.

The guy with the camera...as the camera is filming, observes the bike pass him(the car with the camera) and cut in front of him so he can make the turn first, so some other guy comes around botht the camera car and the bike and cuts the guy on the bike off.....the guy on the bike doesnt like it and hits the car that cut him off with his fists.

Lemme guess....you were on the Rodney King jury and you refuse to wear your prescribed coke bottle glasses.

Motorcyclists back me up on this... From what I understand most motorcycles are air cooled. If they spend too much time idling at a stop their engines will overheat. That is why you see motorcycles cut to the front of the line at a traffic light. I know that in California it is legal for motorcycles to cut to the front because of the overheating issue.

Granted...Russia is usually cold. Who knows why that dude cut the line?

That's legal in a lot of places. It's called "lane-splitting". For anyone headed to Vegas on a motorcycle though, it may be legal in Cali, but it s not legal in Nevada. I have no idea if it's legal in that part of Russia, though.

Happened to me when I was rolling along the freeway in Oakland. Nearly crapped my pants when the guy went past me. Wasn't expecting that.

But I call BS on the video. Completely staged.

Not many bikes are air cooled any more. Espically not hardly any sportbikes since about the 80's. The idea of cutting to the front is mostly about easing congestion. The bike isn't going to slow the cars down by being in front. But, it takes up less room. There are other reasons, but not being able to idle for very long isn't really one of them.

Because Molly Fitzwigger kissed Bobby Tungoe instead of me at the 4th grade dance.

As a rider and daily lane-splitter, that was my interpretation as well. The car pulled in front of the bike and either brushed the bike's tire, or was so close it was really careless on the driver's part. Rider thumps the car and pushes back off it.

Driver gets out, introduces his face to the rider's gloved (possibly armored) fist, takes an involuntary nap.

Yes. There are some that are liquid cooled and air-assisted. Those are mostly the heavy cruisers and sport/tourers.

dudes also lucky bike rider didnt have metal on his elbows, knee caps, and tows of boots also lucky that the bike rider doesn't carry throw able object to get rid of tail gaiters.

have steel bearing's i throw over my shoulder at tail gaiters big enough to crack a wind shield (or destroy it depends how much you piss me off and how bad you ail gate me) if you insist on tail gating me and not passing when no cars are coming.

mr smart the great: dudes also lucky bike rider didnt have metal on his elbows, knee caps, and tows of boots also lucky that the bike rider doesn't carry throw able object to get rid of tail gaiters.

I've never seen riding gear with metal armor. Some guys wear steel toed boots, but I'd be too scared to wear gear with metal covering the joints. All the armor I've seen is foam based. Unless you're talking about gay biker cruiser fashion. My gloves have hard plastic covering the knuckles though.

Too road rage-y and illegal for me. Plus you risk hitting innocents. I just use my size and acceleration to get out from in front of tailgaters.

its got the metal sown in between the leather. the idea is the leather hopefully allows you to skid/roll if that fails or it gets punctured the metal stops the nail or rock from puncturing. but there is a down side you sacrifice Allot of padding meaning if you go down your gana have some nasty bruises for a while.

as for my steel bearings i have only had to use them once dude running me off Forsell road in between Grandview and Sunnyside Washington.

coudnt accelerate because semi was infront of me and line of cars coming at us on left hand lane and the drunk was on my ass and to the right there is no shoulder for the stretch i was on.

I use my "size" and "acceleration" on the "gate of your tail" if you piss me off. If you know what I mean.

pdee: Why take your helmet off during a fight? It seems like good protection.

1. Grabbing someone's headgear is an easy way to toss them to the ground. Same reason why you grab someone's wrist and not their hand. It's just one of those things that gives you a lot of leverage and is hard for the other guy to slip away from.

2. Helmet in hand held by the 'chin' is a pretty quick shield/club.

you could just pull over and let the guy pass... but no, that's not part of the 'image' I guess.

Wizard take a look at this road on google maps tell me what you think of Forsell Road Washington

would you pull a bike over on that road? cause the stretch i was on was and there was no where to pull over.

by the pump for the grapes should be a small irrigation canal on the other side of the road.

if your looking past Waneta road youv gone to far go back toward Grandview

i was traveling toward Sunnyside on a 2005 Harley sportster.

the gray isnt cement its gravel.
