From the article, it sounds like this was a public, professional meeting, on TV (yea yea, cable access, but there's still a camera), and the confederate on the school committee wasn't aware of how the trick would end.

I'm all for fun, and am about as far away from a prude as they come, but I can see why she'd be embarrassed about this. I don't think this is an appropriate trick to play in a public forum on a coworker who is unsuspecting. And they only asked for an apology, it's not like they asked the guy to step down.

Regardless of the fact that the magic trick involved a bra, people should be upset that he decided to open a school committee meeting with a magic trick. I mean really, imagine if the place you work for decided to hold an important meeting, and the head of the management team decided to pull a rabbit out of a hat before starting the actual meeting. It's just farking stupid and pointless, and a waste of taxpayer money.
