That Saturday night (the 27th) there's 2 great bands from Denver playing at the Howard St Tavern downtown, Carolyn's Mother and Rexway.

Hey farkers, let's continue this fark party thru the night, go meet up at a bar or something -- i think there's a husker party that day anyways, who want's to miss that? We can meet up for lunch, and decide on somewhere to go later on and get slightly (if not very) intoxicated at one of Omaha's many fine drinking establishments.

I'm serious here, if it can be moved, say to the 4th-7th, I'll be there with bells on. I have to agree with the Old Chicago over-inflated drink price comment...and the food. But the Old Market is really no better on prices unless you go on an off night. But alas...I will most likely not see this dream of mine come to fruition.

As long as it's downtown, I don't much care (though I confess, I've never heard of "Docs" ... but I've only been here since the 70's. ;) )

I'd say, don't settle on a place now. Whoever gets drafted to arrange a Lincoln Farkfest needs to call around to the various bars and find out who can offer the best accomodations. Let he who does the footwork make the final decision.

Perhaps I was mistaken about the purpose of these Farkparties (it should be one word), but my understanding was that the purpose was to get beligerantly drunk and try to nail farkettes. While I can be quite the drinker (alcoholic in the making) it seems that 12:30 is a little early for said activities. Not to mention that it would be an hour away from Lincoln, and that the drive home would be horribly unsafe. So, while I was actually thinking just yesterday that there was a potential need for an Omaha Farkparty, I will have to pass until an opprotunity to do it up right comes along.
