Mawson of the Antarctic: HOLY SHIAT!

Now this is eerie.

True - but why would you work so hard to emulate such a shiatty singer?

2011-09-23 12:22:53 AM
Holy crap. Subby raised and laid out a royal flush. Not that I like Pearl jam all that much, but wow.

\If Pearl jam goes the Journey route, this guy will have a job.

2011-09-23 12:30:47 AM
This guy is living proof that it can be done. I think it should be mandatory for all immigrants arriving in the U.S. to learn to speak English.

In Eddie Vedder's voice.

Tax Boy: WHO IS FARK'S RESIDENT PEARL JAM SUPERFAN?

/golf clap

Also, I think it sounded just like Eddie. I could only understand every 3rd or 4th word.

2011-09-23 12:37:12 AM
wow that's impressive!

even though he's a different nationality and has a different language to the original Vedder,
he still speaks the English lyrics very well!

(another case of that would be the fellow from Montreal, native french speaker, ok-english speaker, doing a PERFECT Peter Gabriel impression, even during the spoken stories inbetween songs! I forget his name, but he fronted The Musical Box. there's stuff on youtube i bet still.)

/ years ago I heard an Eddie impressionist sing a song making fun of Scott Strapp from Creed on the local rock station. I almost peed my pants. it was great.

2011-09-23 12:38:28 AM
oh, i almost forgot....

potato wave.

make me fries!

/every time i hear that song now, i can't help but think of those lyrics!

2011-09-23 12:41:10 AM
why nailing? honestly

2011-09-23 12:48:46 AM
I am actually Pearl Jams resident superfan. I own like 3 plaid shirts and I played Guitar Hero once. One time I met Vedder telepathically. He said hi. Also I own some shorts and a Pearl Jam record. One time I got confused because every alternative singer sounds the same but then I just put on my plaid shirt and knew I was the superfan forever.

Holy mother damn that is amazing.

2011-09-23 01:22:17 AM
Aw c'mon. Eddie Vedder sounds like a mumbling Mexican. Of course the mumbly Mexican is gonna nail it. Easy.

Eduardo Vedder is pretty good. I wonder if he's just good at mimicking or if he can apply that voice to other songs/artists.

I saw a video the other day where someone nailed a Sarah Palin impression. I'll be damned if I can find out who it was though.

aspAddict: I saw a video the other day where someone nailed a Sarah Palin impression. I'll be damned if I can find out who it was though.

According to Wikipedia it was 2 Russian soldiers, her husband's business partner at their snowmobile dealership and professor

Holy crap..that totally was amazing. Always liked pearl jam, and this guy nails it. I had to watch close to see if he was cheating, but really can't tell. Anyway...great job guy.

2011-09-23 07:14:27 AM
The other guy was better, but this thread doesn't have MaxxLarge shiatting everything up. Kind of a toss up.

Those judges were obviously on massive downers or they had no idea what they just heard. Dude smashed it out of the park.

2011-09-23 08:17:28 AM
Just like with the real Eddie, I still don't understand a farking word of this song. So, spot on I guess.

lol, its funny cuz its true!

2011-09-23 08:51:51 AM
That explains it, I thought all along Eddie wasn't speaking english.

2011-09-23 09:48:35 AM
Let's hear him do it in that tick-tock language the guy from The Gods Must Be Crazy spoke. Then I'll be impressed.

That was likely Bob Rivers' group. The song is set to the music of Creed's "Arms Wide Open" and was titled "My Mouth's Not Open". Hysterical.

I watched a few of the other videos from that show. The Brian Johnson clone was really impressive... I was laughing at the similarity coming out of a skinny Chilean dude as opposed to a stocky Welshman!

2011-09-23 11:02:01 AM
Good impression... if Eddie Vedder couldn't sing in tune.

I've been a huge PJ/Vedder fan since the first time I heard tracks from the about-to-be-released "Ten". EV has one of those voices that can make the hairs on your neck stand up and your skin tingle.

This guy comes pretty damn close and shows that Freddie wannabe how to do it.
With passion, ladies and gentlemen, with passion.

Great choice of song too... one of Eddie's mumbling, slurring best.

/the first time i heard pearl jam i thought it was the dude from big wheel and squirrelbait.

2011-09-23 04:18:21 PM

stinkyboss: squirrelbait.

Peter Searcy? I'm a huge fan of his, but have never confused the two vocally, as much difference as there was between Squirrel Bait and solo-era Peter Searcy.

2011-09-23 04:35:04 PM
Eddie Bedder.

have you heard big wheel's "east end" record? sounds totally vedderish to me. well, an eddie vedder that you can understand at least! maybe peter searcy on that record was a big inspiration to him?

never listened to much squirrelbait, but got to see big wheel several times--great show every time!

/sadly never kept up w/ searcy's career after that...

I think Mr. Javier is certifiable proof that Hispanics are genetically linked to, and evolved from, in part, tropical birds, principally the mocking or parrot variety.

...

(comma)

(not trolling - I feel like I have to say this now because you farking douche bags always think I'm trolling)

THIS.
Eddie Vedder isn't a GREAT singer. Freddie was spacers beyond Vedder. Vedder is our Don Henly. Save a whale tail, Subby
