Is it illegal to kill a traitor?

NateGrey: tcan: wmoonfox: Why would anyone watch a show where a slobbering lapdog spends the entire time slot trying to figure out how to suck off an empty suit?

Agreed! I never watch any MSNBC interviews with Obama.

What MSNBC interviews?

Citation?

He spends more time with O Reilly.

Demanding citations is the refuge of people unable to refute a point. Also people who lack a sense of humor.

There was no place for reconsideration, or revocation, except through revolution, or through consent of the States

I'll gladly consent. Good riddance farkwits.

Perry has just proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he thinks no one can possibly remember what he said X amount of time ago, and that no one could possibly have recorded his statements in any way whatsoever.

Stockholm syndrome, force of habit, don't want to vote for the darkie?

Ummm... the "darkie" is a pathological liar, too. Or have you forgotten all of his campaign promises?

There's a big difference between making a campaign promise, which very few people believe will ever be completed in its entirety, and saying "I never said that. Why are you telling me I said that?" when confronted with irrefutable evidence.

One is a promise, and one is at best a denial of fact. One is a vague assurance, and one is a bald-faced lie, in other words.

And their supporters are even more stupid.

Both Perry and Romney are far from conservatives but cowboy and Mormon boy throw out a couple 1 liners and the cons just cream their pants. I've got new for you Romeny lovers, Romneycare was 100 times more "socialistic:" than Obamacare ever was going to be.

Isitoveryet: Integrity.

is there anyone with it in politics?

Of course not. Being willing and able to lie like a rug is one of the minimum qualifications. Apparently no one will vote for you unless you exhibit moral bankruptcy and reckless disregard for the truth. The Presidential aspirations of George HW Bush and Bill Clinton were in doubt until they uttered astonishingly blatant falsehoods with an air of conviction, gazing steadfastly and unblinkingly into the camera. Remember "Read my lips! No new taxes!", or "I did not inhale"?

The article refutes a fact in 1845 with a precedent in 1869, and draws a hard comparison between a recognition of wistful public sentiment and a strongly held personal position.

How about some actual platforms 0bama personally endorsed and specifically campaigned on... anyone... anyone?

You wouldn't have to dig so much and reach to find the outright lies.

Well, that would be an uncomplimentary analysis of him, but the individual to whom I was actually speaking is obviously not one of his fans - and my point is that Perry's silly talk about leaving the union hardly amounts to treason. Am I somehow wrong in that?
As far as his being the "Governor of one of the largest states in America" - if that makes him a man of superior qualities, by your reasoning, Barack Obama, who is the President of the most powerful nation on Earth, must be a demigod in human form.

Uh dude, you were here from 2001 to 2009. I think you know the answer. We get extremely concentrated small groups with overwhelming influence and power. Then we get a larger outer pool of sycophants who hang on their every word, relishing every morsel.

The rest of us are just farked. We have no chance for upward mobility and we work longer and harder for less. We become cynical, jaded, etc. We stop expecting more from our country and ourselves, and in a few short generations the dream is no more.

Arnold was actually a fairly pragmatic governator. But, he was stymied by his own party whenever he wasn't by the opposition party, especially towards the end of his tenure. He was a decent governor who I really think had the states best interest at heart (he didn't need money), but he fell victim to the obstructionist California GOP (the Democrats weren't gonna go along with him anyway, but his own party would not let him do anything of substance).

What a bunch of loons.

To be fair, they won't want to secede if there is a white real American president.

Fox News. It all boils down to Fox News. Every single one of these cocksuckers who will cheer as the country crashes into flames is a Fox News watcher. I've seen them. I know them. I have worked with them. Many of my relatives are them.

They have been told over and over and over again exactly what they have always believed: the evil liberul media BOOGA BOOGA!

And who reinforces these fears over and over again? Yeah, Fox News. So who do these people cling to? Fox News.

So what we have is a huge portion of the population that clings to their Fox News like a drowning man clings to a chunk of the boat. It's their only source of hope in a world that would elect a black man president.

Thus, Fox News has ultimate power over these people. They will never, ever, believe any other source of information, and since Fox knows it, they know they can tell them whatever bizarre fantasy bullshiat they want.

It had more to do with the Byzantine nature of California politics, to be honest. If we had a 100% Democrat legislature under the control of a Democrat governor, our weirdo constitution and referendum system of parliament would ensure that jack-shiat would get accomplished anyway.
