A hammock on the ocean is the asylum for the generous distressed.

Neat idea, but *dang* that looks unstable. Very high center of gravity, and it even has a convenient sail to help the wind flip you over. Given that more than 3/4ths of the pipes used to float it are submerged, I'd also wager that it really doesn't have much in the way of reserve buoyancy. Heavy dude climbs on -> straight to the bottom. Needs a weighted centerboard and a lot more flotation pipes.

I designed one that could cross the Atlantic in complete safety with 425 passengers on board but determined that it was not commercially viable.

I'm thinking about mounting some outriggers on my canoe so I can put up two A frames and string one up. I'm going to have to rig up some easy to reach coolers and one of those little electric motors for moving around.

Anything that you caught in Putah Creek, you'd need shots to get rid of.

Did he have a job at Globex?

Where did he get it from? Hammock Hut,Hammocks-R-Us, Put-Your-Butt-There, or Swing Low, Sweet Chariot?

For those interested, I found a similar boat with much more utility: Link (new window)

And I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that net when it does.

Or for when you're fishing from a prone position in a hammock with a roof above you. Like I said. And 14 knots? That's just barely a stiff breeze where we fish (new window). In fact, the 'w' word isn't allowed to be spoken. Some guys even use the 'n' word in place of the 'w' word, because it's less offensive (to everyone).

YMMV.

Of course floating down the Mighty Potomac with a 5 weight going for smallmouth and hooking into a 23 kilo Muskie is quite an experience.

I don't fish to brag about how horrid the weather was.

Looks like a drowning waiting to happen.

While in the water, hammock == fishnet.
