My no doubt hideously inaccurate predictions:

Aston Villa v Newcastle 1-1
Blackburn v Arsenal 1-3
Bolton v Norwich 2-1
Everton v Wigan 2-1
Swansea v West Brom 1-1
Wolves v QPR 1-2

and tomorrow:

Tottenham v Liverpool 2-1
Fulham v Man City 0-2
Sunderland v Stoke 1-2
Man Utd v Chelsea 1-1

Fark, Ian Dark and his lap dog are going to be very painful to listen to this morning... Thinking of turning off the volume to watch the Arsenal match...

Prediction, Arsenal keep a clean sheet and win 2-0.

I'm far too high to care about today's games. Sean O' Brien and Cian Healy have replaced Sonny Bill Williams as my extremely worrying man-crushes at the Rugby World Cup. Sexy bastards.

As for tomorrow, remember when Chelsea won at OT in 2009? When Drogba was offside and Joe Cole and Kiko Macheda were last relevant? Anyway, point is, since then United's record at home is:

Played: 23
Won: 22
Drew: 1
Lost: 0
Scored: 67
Conceded: 15

The current run of 17 consecutive home wins is a Premier League record.

Good predictions. I think the Man U-Chelsea game will be a bit more lopsided, though. More like 4-1 or 5-2. I'm hoping Arsenal keeps a clean sheet today. Even a 1-0 win would be huge. I thought they defended very well in their Champions League match wh--

If Blackburn get stuffed today, Kean may well be a goner. The Blackburn players will know that, so we'll see if they play for their manager.

Stoke is already playing in Europe, but I'm sure the Europa League is not good enough.

Instead, let's focus on the Champions league 5 matches into the season....

I took Arsenal -1. Feeling somewhat smart at the moment

They have yet to finish a match with 11 men, so -1 is probably a good bet.

Wait - that is what you meant, yes?

Haha. Actually they beat Swansea with 11.

Blackburn is scrapping. Arsenal's ball movement looking very good at the moment.

Is it just me, or is Szczesny losing his luster?

HaywoodJablonski: Is it just me, or is Szczesny losing his luster?

Not for me. I like a goalie that's aggressive in his goal box. Almunia hated coming off his line and would stay in too much. Both styles have their advantages and risks.

Gervinho, Gervinho... *shakes head*

2011-09-17 08:32:18 AM
One touch too many by Gervinho. Blackburn's goalie aggressive style like Sczcesny, which works well against a team like Arsenal, who isn't allowed to shoot until after they've made 4 passes in front of the goal.

A little tap to van Persie and it's 3-1

You're right. A good half, though.

Good first half in Arse v Christopher Samba.

On a side note, apparently the Britt's love their stadium food about like we do.

I'll take another goal or 2 by the Arsenal in the 2nd half. Arshavin looks like he's due, and RvP is good for one

Game on. Steve Kean spotted at half time trying to score a free meat pie at the concession stand.

There you go. 2 goals by Arsenal in the 2nd half. What an entertaining game!

Wow, hell of a Arsenal-Blackburn game going on here. That was some "excellent" positioning by the defender on that own goal...
