Well I'm sure they will appreciate that you felt the need to Boobies on fark to try and impress people on how you are some how indirectly associated with this accident, before texting them to see if they were alright.

ha serves me right to get filtpwned for being a snarky ass.

As long as he didn't stop to buy junior mints before texting I think it's ok.

Or, more accurately, I knew from the video they'd be safe and thought a first person account might be interesting. Also, I passed on the mints and went straight for the Sierra Nevada. Happy Friday.

All right, I'll give you that, I suppose. But it's just incredibly graphic, starting with the jarring pan from a yellow racer trundling along to blur to..hell.

Notice that guy in the livestream video in the black shirt... He jumps the barricade, runs up to the carnage and starts to take pictures, and then starts to back up and walk away like, "Fark this." Douche of the world.

If you were listening to first accounts the guy left the course, steered his plane at the crowd, then stopped turning and dived straight into the wealthy folks in the box seating.

I still want someone to explain how a mechanical failure could cause that? Please tell me how a plain can steer towards the crowd, stop steering that way, and proceed to point the nose nearly straight down at the crowd. Please, someone explain. I may not have a ton of flying hours, but I know that I dont think a plain could execute this behavior from mechanical problems.

We thought 9/11 was an accident until the 2nd plane came in.

Don't rule out an attack just because it seems very unlikely at this time.

Let's let the facts come out before we leap to any conclusions as to what just happened.

You've made you opinion/conjecture perfectly clear. I can count at least three posts you've made in the past page that explain that you think this was intentional. We get it. Now stop farking repeating the same unfounded conjecture.

THIS is why I find it interesting. A car blew up in front of my house a few months ago. Screaming metal and busting glass that close will make you run down the stairs quickly. I took a few quick snaps of the car exploding and then ran back upstairs to throw up. I did not go back out until a cop knocked on my door to ask if I saw anything. I did not even stay to see if everyone got out. The car was on fire before it even came to a stop and when it did it exploded. INSANITY

I didn't want to see bodies but I did want to show friends how close to my place it was. I understand the initial reaction of taking pics.

I doubt I'd have run into that crowd though if I had been that close. I'd probably be vomiting.

They bought their tickets. They knew what they were getting into. I say, let them get crashed into by an 80 year old pilot.

I dunno... Maybe he's a journalist or something and that was his first instinct, but you would think the reaction would be to help instead of getting some cool pics. Or to help once you decide to not take pictures...

costermonger: HeartlessLibertarian: A mustang like that would have at least very basic controls if the engine failed, unlike modern planes, and the chance that he could accidnetally hit the tiny dot on the ground, that was the bleachers, is horribly improbable.

The bold, underlined bit gave you away to all the pilots you wrongly insist would share your opinion.

I partly learned on a J-3. It's not close to the same thing but it's not like there is a lot of backup in something like that other than I fact I would be flying at like 60-70 mph in a wood, aluminum, and cloth plane.

In the long form video, the EMT's and such are pulling up just as he is walking away. I think in this situation, not helping unless asked to help is probably the best thing to do.

Witness interviews.

Every witness interviewed so far says the pilot wast trying to pull the plane away from the crowd but lost control. Yes, it's early yet, so we'll see where this goes.

why is my conjecture unfounded and your isn't?

What evidence at all do you have of a mechanical failure? No one can explain to me at all how mechanical failure could cause those precise movements that first turned, stopped turning, then dived - perfectly aiming it at people in a specific seating area.

That which we know seems to support my conjecture far more than yours, that it was mechanical. Perhaps if, like i did, you could offer an explanation of these events due to mechanical problems, I wouldn't have to respond to your jeers.

Couldn't just explain to me how you came to your conclusion that it was mechanical failure, or that he had a health problem? There appears to be no evidence what-so-ever for that.

I've been first on the scene after a tornado destroyed a couple houses. First instinct is to get that awesome pic, then you see the babies crib laying in the yard, and you drop the camera and either run in to help, or call for help. HeartlessLibertarian: Couldn't just explain to me how you came to your conclusion that it was mechanical failure, or that he had a health problem? Why would he call in a Mayday, with mechanical failure, if his intent was controlled flight into terrain?

Because he radioed the tower and said he lost the aileron.

Except nothing you described happened, asshat. It was a continuous climb, roll, and slam into the ground.

HeartlessLibertarian: why is my conjecture unfounded and your isn't?

I've present absolutely no conjecture. I haven't said anything in this thread yet. I think it's natural to assume, for those that have opined on the potential cause of this crash, first that this wasn't some nasty, nefarious, purposeful crash when we're looking at untold casualties. Indeed, I think history shows that, statistically, it's much more likely that this was a mechanical or human error than an intentional, carnage-ridden crash. Most air show crashes are not caused by things you're suggesting. Again, though, I'm not saying ANYTHING about the cause. You've asked similar questions twice, and nobody has answered, so that should tell you that people don't want to engage in your conversation.

/ Ugh, am I really troll bait?

If it was a murder/suicide, why did he (apparently) do everything he could to miss the bleachers, where he could have too hundreds with him instead of a (probable) dozen or so?
