I completely forgot about "Mojo in the Morning" in Cincy. WEBN really kicks ass, great example of how to run a rock and roll station

Should have used the "Mojo" tag for this one. ;)

They are not showing the submissions, yet.
They are just accepting submitted photos.
The coolness factor is that you saw this kind of thing here, first.

They're a Clear Channel station... in these troubled times, maybe they'll be sending out a list of pictures they don't want shown on their websites.

WEBN is the coolest.

This takes me back to the KISS our ass contest a few years back.

Anyone in the Cincy area remember Eddie Finger's Basement Tapes on channel 64?

I know this has little to nothing to do to the thread, but there's this song I keep hearing at parties, and I can never figure out the name (probably cause I don't listen to the radio). But it's a techno song and in the middle it breaks into a guy singing oooooh, oooooh but arpeggiating the notes (not all the same note on for each ooooh). I really want to know what this is, so if you could help, that would be great, if not, oh well.

My ClearChannel station here in Tampa already had a cameltoe contest and already picked the winner. www.98rock.com You can see photos here.

PSA:
A camel toe is often known as a goats foot over here in the UK

There was a fatty pic of a monster Britney Spears cameltoe the shiat went halfway to her bellybutton! Anyway, hey WEBN play some freakin' Kyuss! Put it in the rotation!

I wonder what they call cameltoes in Australia? WallabyWedgies? KoalaKrack? Some Aussie Farker needs to represent!

We need more farkers with bandwidth and skillz that can easily suck down a site for "mirror/backup" purposes.

Cincinnasti was the base of Jacor before it was scarfed by clear channel. It makes for some strange stuff, like celebrities on WEBN. And if you look at the radio personalities in other cities (like Bubba the love sponge in Tampa), they also came through Cincinnati.

"Livin on the air in Cincinnati now, on Cincinnati's WKRP"

Went to the site...wanted to listen, RIAA farked the stream. Those damned bastards are really starting to get under my skin.

Radio good...net radio bad? I don't get it. I'm starting to think the RIAA just hates the internet, period.

A lot of stations have survived the great net radio shakedown by going their own way...my favorite: kpig.com

Loved the cat pic on that site GREGw. Somebody please post it: on top of page at kpig.com. Link above from Gregw's comment. PLEASE.

WEBN is the only radio station that I've ever listened to. I can't stand the stations in Atlanta and Columbus -- they are all poppy and stupid. WEBN is the worlds finest radio entertainment.

Plus, the fireworks are farking great. I wish i still lived in cincy.

2001-11-02 01:14:27 PM
I'm confused. WEBN (FM 102.7) has a Mojo, too? I bet the folks at Mojo-94.9 are pi$$ed; their morning show is called "Mojo in the Morning".

Congratulations Iota! You are the first person ever to wish you lived in Cincitsnasti! You win a flying pig!!

I was listening to WEBN in my car during my lunch hour and they were complaining that their web site/computers were not working right. Once again, fark has made its presence felt.

I lived--and got my degree--in Cincy about one hundred years ago. My fave station (not WKRP!) was WNOP in Newport, KY. It was the ONLY American radio station that was afloat--on the Ohio River!

Its morning drive-time jock was a half-drunk dude named Leo _____.

Leo had a gelding at River Downs named after him. LOL!

Help, Cincinnatians!

2001-11-03 06:32:07 PM
Gee...I sobered up for a sec.

It was Leo Underhill at WNOP. The station moved from the Ohio River to a Cincy skyscraper a few years ago. A sad day in radio history.

I hope Leo Underhill is still alive. The DJ...not that friggin' horse! I lost my ass on that friggin' bastard!
