Yeah well I just heard he's really sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw the kid pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

What do the woods not being able to see the forest have to do with a missing autistic kid who's now found? Are the woods supposed to be able to see the forest? How did the trees come to get in the way of the woods' view of the forest? Article doesn't provide any info on this.

The idiot who took this kid away from his parents because they put him on a leash should be lost in the San Bernadino Mountains during a storm.

subittard worked so hard to make a clever headline but failed by linking to the story of the kid being found, not lost.

Southern California forest? No way is there nearly a million trees. Might be a thousand oaks, at best - scrub oaks at that.

Actually it was "No More Tears" by Ozzy, plus "Good Time" by Alan Jackson. They're the child's favorite songs.

ABC News has claimed copyright infringement for a video of diane sawyer I had on Youtube. The video was multiple short clips of diane sewer, er, sawyer on their morning show that was 51 seconds in duration. It was the day after obama's inaugaration and she was slurring her speech apparently do to intoxication.

There's no doubt I have fair use and ABC is attempting to remove a video (by intimidation) due to its embarrassing nature of their overpaid, teleprompter-reading harlot.

For a reminder of what this dirty harlot and the snake david west did to Food Lion on behalf of the goons from SEIU union when she was co-whore, er, host of Primetime Smear, er, Live do a search for Food Lion Prime Time Live.

Anyone else wondering why it is that this severely autistic child is still in a regular public elementary school? Seems like after something like this there could be some sort of assistance to place the boy in a special school more suited for his needs. If the kid has run away from the school before (i'd guess because it's as the dad said, to get back to his parents), chances are the school is not for him.

And before I get the heckles and such insisting that resources are rare, I'm aware that they are difficult to find, as obvious by the parents apparently either not being able to reach out for help or not knowing where to turn for help with their son.

/has a brother with developmental problems, he's finally graduated from high school with a lot of assistance from a dedicated aunt who's also a schoolteacher

No way! Inclusion applies to everyone! We're all equal!

So seperate but equal is your solution? Fark you. Inclusion to the most reasonable method possibel is better for a host of reasons..including those not disabled. not having those recieving extra services banished and ostracized, but included, increases socialization, but also familiarity with the other students. It works. It has a humanzing effect on the rest of the school population, who have less reason to see those with special needs more as their classmates rather than a remote 'them' to be ridiculed and abused. Within the facility, seperate rooms/centers can be adapted to service their individual education needs, while including them where it makes sense.

I never got that saying.. wouldn't it be a lot harder to see a forest without trees???

It's not a matter of separate but equal. The school clearly cannot properly handle the child, seeing as he has managed to run away from the school more than once.

"Humanizing the rest of the school"? Why should the kid have to be the guinea pig for the rest of the kids to learn not to ostracize or be cruel to the mentally disabled? He needs specialized teachers who can help him find ways to not freak out and try to run away to try to find his parents, because his parents aren't always going to be there. Let the kid be an ambassador when he's able to learn a way to deal with things like loud noises or separation anxiety, but not at this point in his life.

/World of Jenks, halfway decent show that was on MTV, chronicled the week in the life of an autistic teen who attends a specialized school to teach him life skills. Parents recognized that regular schools weren't cutting it to teach him life skills.
//parents aren't always the best teachers in a case like this, that's why people study to work with these particular types of populations.
