Do dolphins really accidentally run into each other? Sounds like a suicide to me.

They noticed that the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin appeared to be injured. She could not be revived.

Some dolphins can be real assholes to each other. Maybe this one got on someone's nerves.

/Some pods help each other and protect the group.
//Others will harass each other and even rape.
///And no, their fin color has nothing to do with it.

Shortly before the 1 p.m. dolphin show, the marine mammal staff heard a loud pop.

"Bottlenose Blowout."

I've heard of this.

Yes; then dolphin society would not have to pay for the medical expenses and long term care for the idiot, and now paralyzed, dolphins who otherwise wouldn't.

Got nothing funny to add... Don't capture dolphins and stick 'em in tanks where this can possibly happen. Entirely caused by man. It's just one organism, but as long as we're taking care of it... I mean, come on.

Like I said before: Dolphins are dicks

This shiat happens in the wild all the time, it's just that the ocean is so big you rarely ever see the behavior.

From Wiki (sourced at end): Dolphins engage in acts of aggression towards each other. The older a male dolphin is, the more likely his body is to be covered with bite scars. Male dolphins engage in such acts of aggression apparently for the same reasons as humans: disputes between companions and competition for females. Acts of aggression can become so intense that targeted dolphins sometimes go into exile as a result of losing a fight.

Male bottlenose dolphins have been known to engage in infanticide. Dolphins have also been known to kill porpoises for reasons which are not fully understood, as porpoises generally do not share the same diet as dolphins, and are therefore not competitors for food supplies.
[30]

Don't blame people on the natural instincts of dolphins.
