Okay.

NOW I'm awake.

Never to sleep again.

No, "Elmo" is our safe word.

Poor frog. If some big furry animal was scratching at you with its paw you'd be screaming Bloody Mary too. And it didn't sound like the puppy said Elmo, it sounded like Help Me.

I was relieved when the clip of the seal pup didn't include clubbing.

I remember the first time I heard a rabbit scream. My dumbass older brother shot blindly into some moving weeds with a shotgun. After that all I could hear were these bloodcurdling shrieks from the tall grass. Well Mr. Dumbass immediately thought he shot our dog and went on a frantic panic fueled search until we found a poor bloody cottontail torn open from the shot. All I could think of was what an idiot this guy was and how much I hated having to be around him.

Thought it was "Armageddon".

List fails without screaming Fox. Nothing quite so eerie as the thought of "is that a baby being maimed in the woods?!?!"

Easy Reader: I remember the first time I heard a rabbit scream.

Me, too. It was two months ago and my greyhound caught a rabbit in our veggie patch.

/got the grey to let the rabbit go, and he sped off.

We live in the woods and frequently hear the screaming fox. It's quite a unsettling sound.

My baby screaming bunny story scarred me for years. I was 21 or so, living in a rental house. The owners son was over doing some yard work and I was in the garden taking care of my vegetables. My boyfriend arrived and the three of us were talking near the shed. The weedwhacker was broken, so the grass was overgrown along the edge of the shed. I was wearing flip flops and stepped one foot into the high grass to grab the hose so I could water my veggies. I felt myself step on something furry and THEN IT SCREAMED. I ran from the spot screaming like a little girl. The boys come over too see what happened and it appeared that I crushed a poor little baby bunny's spine. The owner's son put the bunny out of its misery, but not before we saw Mama bunny watching from across the yard at what was going on. I was haunted for quite a while after that incident.

I can vouch for the frogs screaming like that for real. I was kayaking around some muck looking for turtles when I saw some silly-looking frogs just floating around. I got just a bit closer and the stupid thing yelled "WAAAHHHH!" and it jumped away.

They are missing the porcupine. We trekked a half-mile into the swamp one evening because there was a woman screaming, just to find a porcupine instead... and it wasn't even in distress.

Five animals with dubbed screams and two that usually make that noise but the moderators are too stupid to know the difference.

There, fixed the headline.

It is cute when a rabbit screams when getting washed.
The scream will bum you out when you hear it while your dog is killing the rabbit.

My rabbits can only muster a semi-audible grunt when they are very pissed about something. That bunny must've been in extreme distress to be screaming like that. Don't wash your bunnies and don't laugh at them when they make that sound.

Imagine being a farmer, going into the barn late at night to check on the livestock, with only the dim glow of lantern to light your way, when all of a sudden you hear something swoop down from the rafters making this sound. You'd soil your shorts, all right.

Surprised peacocks didn't make the list...

They can really scare it outta ya...sound like a woman screaming.

What's really fun is when you don't realize it's just that damn peacock again and the screams keep coming and you cannot triangulate where they're coming from (they'll get into trees if they have a chance)...

Good times.

The Denizli rooster, which obviously doesn't sound like a heavy metal band, really does crow for that long. Search for denizli crowing on Youtube. Great fun.

I will never forget the one time I heard a rabbit scream.

The house we lived in when I was a kid had a chain link fence. There was one area that had gotten separated somehow. We knew rabbits and critters were going back and forth through there. But, one day, an especially large rabbit tried to make it's way through the hole. It couldn't make it. It got stuck with several prongs sticking into its' back and sides. It screamed while it kept trying to buck the fence.. And screamed. And screamed. We went and got our dad. He got some wire cutters and managed to make the hole a little bigger. It ran off before Dad could try to look it over.

/will never forget.
