Meh, he was just joking.

G.W. Bush: went golfing during the hurricane.
Obama: got stuff done after the hurricane.
Chuck Norris: punched the hurricane between its eyes.

Right. Rush is a regular laugh riot. He and Michele Bachman should get together with their great senses of humor. It would be the comedy pairing of the century.

I suppose that was an inevitable boobies. What I can't remember is if you're serious or just mocking the people who always say that whenever he gets called out for his assholeness.

The best part of Beck/Limbaugh threads on here is knowing that it is some lib's job to sit around and listen to them every day while just waiting to be outraged. Then they do their duty and report their outrage to the interweb so that more libs can be outraged. Good times.

No, I think Rush is losing his audience. HIs humor isn't really very funny, and his jokes often fall flat. He's not even consistent during his rants.

I occasionally listen to the Limbaugh show (generally only after big events that might impact US policy). mostly I come away from the experience wondering if Rush is high again. sometimes I think that's the only real explanation for the paranoia.

Rush Limbaugh said something stupid. Big Whoop. Let's talk about somebody else for a change. Underwear models, maybe.

He's still nervous from the scare he got last week. But he needn't have been. Viagra is made in Ireland, the Dominican Republic was largely spared Irene's wrath, and as far as I know, the Purdue Pharma plant in Connecticut that makes Oxycontin wasn't significantly affected.

But you can see why he might have been stressed.

I once listened to a full hour of Sean Hannity because I was getting drowsy on a long ride. It was better than a cold splash of water on my face.

I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh most days, because I was a fan. (Also, Paul Harvey followed it.) Heck, I even watched his TV show. It used to be funny. Now, it's just sad.

Hammering away with the same cultural and political relevance as a scathing Rich Little impression of Nixon.

Obviously you are looking at his humor from the perspective of someone with intelligence and not that of his average listener. i.e., you don't get it.

I don't think liberals are as outraged at what these hateful pundits say so much as the head-bobbing of the teapawn-dittoheads that takes place after. I personally find it more sad than outrageous.

Oh come on. The only emotions Liberals are capable of are abject adulation (toward Poopbama) and a mixture of hatred, outrage and blubbering (toward all that is good, holy and American).

Rush was worried when Irene went past the Dominican Republic where most of his young boy ass resides.

Just lost some respect for Reuters.

2011-08-31 10:24:44 AM
Just more right wing projection. They all wanted Irene to be Katrina Part 2 so they'd have something else to blame on Obama.

2011-08-31 10:25:54 AM
RUSH is right but for the wrong reasons. Obama wanted the hurricane to be worse, but HAARP has been having problems due to solar flares recently and wasn't as effective as intended. I guess we'll have to wait a few more months before FEMA moves in and blackbags FOX for not following the party line in a manufactured 'crisis'.

Rush Limbaugh claims that Obama wanted Hurricane Irene to be worse because he's a secret double Muslim who lied about arugula causing global warming.

It's all good, the President knows Rush Limbaugh wanted Hurricane Irene to do nothing at all because Rush is a basement-dwelling parasite who gets rich off of everything the President does or says.

Sorry Rush, weighed... measured... wanting and all of that. Stay off the Vicodin and the underage Dominican boys, big boy.

I have this mental image of a hurricane hitting Limbaugh's Florida mansion and flattening it and then -- like Quagmire wrecking his car and dozens of Asian girls scurrying out of the trunk -- hundreds of Dominican boys scamper from the ruins of Stately Limbaugh Manor shrieking "¡Libertad! ¡Muchas Gracias, mi Dios!"

I know right, using his own words against him like that is really unfair since It wasn't meant for "other" people to hear...

Maybe just his ratings and market share is sliipping?

He has stiff competition these days from Beck, Palin, Bachmann, Breitbart, Trump, etc.

He was just joking.

Another example of a conservative joke: I'll kill your children and take your money. Ah ha ha ha. I was just joking. Aren't I funny? I have more jokes if you want. Each one just as funny as the first.

He's an outsider man. A bootstrappy rugged individual. Hell he perosnally built and powers all the towers that broadcast his show, which he produces, markets and sells advertising slots for. He doesn't need your help, but if you';re interested you can buy the latest No Boundaries tie collection along with the Feel the Rush hoodie line. Order now and get 15% off a year long subscription to the Platinum Club so you can listen to all of Rushs previous shows and his Greatest Hits collection of selected show portions.

Rush Limbaugh's radio show is like a five year old's piano recital...

It's uncomfortable, embarrassing, unpleasant and all you can think of is how great it will be when you stop listening...

I've never made it more than fifteen seconds...

The sad thing is, I tried to get a HAARP/chemtrails/Irene thread going a couple days ago, but it was redlit. The wharrgarble in the article was *most* entertaining.

As long as they're female underwear models.

I've been listening to rush off and on for 20 years, he's never been consistant. He usually tries to avoid making clear predictions, andwhen he does and it turns out he's wrong he simply ignores him. He said that McCain had the election sown up less than a week before the election in '08.

It's all part of his schtick, he's always right. He's gotten better and better over the years at not saying anything concrete, this is an example. The biggest part of his verbal excrement is attributing motives to other people words and actions. The lesser among us really eat that shiat up.
