No shiat. Scott skipped over "Bond villain" and went straight to the comic book rogue's gallery.

To be fair, businesses owned by Rick Scott...erm I mean his wife, yeah that's the ticket are doing gangbusters thanks to the windfall of people required by law to use them. Which isn't illegal because shut up lib.

"Florida's statewide unemployment rate remained stuck at 10.7 percent in July, the same as June, well above the nation's 9.1 percent jobless rate. "

I'm surprised at this, given how Rick Scott made it almost impossible for people to claim unemployment.

The newest thing today (Scott's shady dealings are almost daily), the missing emails regarding his shady actions have been traced to his staff. No shiat.

He literally could release Smilex gas and the Scarecrow's hallucination formula over Wasinton DC and cause a natural disaster on the west coast to make money on real estate and a simple, "I will start an investigation on this!" will let him scate.

That's about 25k total right there.

It... just... boggles... the... mind.

The unemployment rate report does not rely on the unemployment claims report for its numbers. It's a separate survey of households.

It is, to a degree but this is more incompetence than pure evil. He would rather stories like this come out than stories about the graft that he pulls directly.

Headline from the article - Fewer Florida businesses mean fewer Florida jobs

Classic propaganda.

Lack of people with money to spend ( demand ) is why there are fewer businesses and jobs.

Supply siders never understood how to run an economy.

meh...you don't move to FL to get rich. Move to FL for the weather, beaches, theme parks, and swimming pools. Granted you may enjoy some form of employment, but the central FL job market doesn't seem that bad...for skilled labor anyways.

Also you probably forget how farking miserable winter is. Go back to Michigan during the winter for 3 months and you'll remember why you left.

Clearly the net loss of jobs from 2008 to 2010 is his fault.

How much has he done to improve employment numbers in your state since taking office? I'm assuming there has been some sort of uptick over the course of the last 8 months?

I don't know about that. retirees tend to want renovations done on their houses. Shiat, I bet that until now some reno companies could sustain themselves building nothing but wheelchair ramps and bathtub railings. People need that stuff, man.

Yeah, but if you wanna go out on the boat and your friend doesn't, you're screwed.

All you need is a 17' center console, and some mechanical knowledge. Break Out Another Thousand doesn't really apply then.

When I first went there, it was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a house on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what I have now , Lad, the strongest modular home in all of Florida.
