2011-08-23 12:20:13 PM
I have seen those three tell "jokes" and I am glad I canceled my cable package a long time ago.

2011-08-23 12:20:49 PM
Well, to be honest, Weiner deserved it, and no one really cares anyway.

2011-08-23 12:21:11 PM
The guy got busted showing pictures of his junk and his last name is Weiner. What the hell did they expect?

Why would you need cable to see them? They are all on broadcast antenna television.

No mention of Craig Ferguson.
He's currently the best of all the late night talk shows.

Ugh, once again I'm disgusted by the mainstream lamestream driveby palace guard MSM liberal media media media media.

2011-08-23 12:25:12 PM
Have they examined records from old scandals? Leno and Letterman got a lot of mileage out of the Lewinsky affair.

I don't own a TV and I've never heard of them, and I even I knew they're not on cable.

Seriously. The Sox win the series after about 5,000 years, and who's running around mugging for cameras and giving interviews but Jimmy farking Fallon. I'm sure I wasn't the only one about to jump into a cab to Fenway and kick his balls up to his shoulder blades.

of the three mentioned, I think Fallon is the funniest. He's got a weird early Conan vibe in the writing.

it was probably a tally of the jokes told on the late night network TV shows

If they found that more jokes were told by a Republican subby would have said: where librul jokes WHARR?!

leno???
when was the last time that letterman was funny? or your dad?

2011-08-23 12:46:13 PM
Jimmy Fallon sucks. The Roots, on the other hand, are farking awesome. Therefore, Fallon's version of "Late Night" is acceptable.

Also, these comedians clearly have a conservative bias. Right? Right?!

2011-08-23 12:46:26 PM
So guys with nightly one-hour network shows beginning with an opening monologue? I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years.

which is funny when you consider the whole, insider vs outsider thing ...

can we really consider JS an outsider still?

Seriously. It's like the perfect storm of political sex scandal. This sort of joke setup only comes once in a century.

It's true. Nobody watches that stuff. But, I know Farkers. Where do shows like the Office and Modern Family and 30 Rock come from? I know you can watch them elsewhere, but they wouldn't be there without broadcast television. I think. I don't know. Blah.

2011-08-23 12:53:09 PM
I'm watching Letterman's last interview with Harrison Ford, and it's awesome.

Link (new window)

So I, for one, still like Letterman, though I think Ferguson is just more fun overall.

Conan had a guy come out dressed as Weiner's underwear. I remember thinking of the guy in the underwear suit, "His mother must be so proud."

PC LOAD LETTER: No love for Jon Stewart?

Two reasons I can think of:
1. He doesn't always deliver "one-liners" so it's hard to count individual jokes.
2. If they included him, then they couldn't make the media seem "fair" by saying that 60% of the jokes were aimed at Republicans/conservatives - it would have been more like 80-90%

2011-08-23 01:00:01 PM
The guy's name was "Weiner" and he was involved in a scandal involving him taking pictures of his junk.

Of course there's going to be a shiatload of jokes about this; the jokes pretty much write themselves.

JohnWayne'sMangirdle: Can anyone get broadcast TV anymore?

Yes. I just have a rooftop antenna at home and at my house out in the country. I have a DTV converter box in the country but my TV at home is new enough to not need one. All of the major networks plus PBS and a few other channels are all in HD.

I guess if you live in an apartment you might not have another option.

Yeah, just get a digital antenna for thirty bucks at Radio Shack and you can pick it up. I just use the antenna to get the networks and then use a Roku box for everything else.

Comedians make the most jokes for the easiest target.

One can guess why Conservatives are the easiest target.

2011-08-23 01:09:35 PM
Damn liberal media.

2011-08-23 01:10:30 PM
Stewart and Colbert left out? I guess they're in a class of their own, ascended above those 'comedians'.
