That's just wrong. That would be like 9/11 times a hundred.

Oh my god, but that would be...

That would be 10,000 Maniacs

halfof33: RLupin: Television and movies peddle an endless stream of senseless, glorified violence........ The government takes away more and more of our rights, for our "own good" of course. People starve to death in the streets. And yet, people are too sensitive for a band name which kinda-sort has NOTHING to do with a national tragedy?

Get some perspective.

Pfft, posers.

They totally sold out when they signed with Capital.

I saw them back in '99 before anybody else knew about them, but now they suck because they are soooooo mainstream.

Smash for Heisman!

Best show on TV that I thought would be about high school football but was really about a married couple's marriage. I'm glad that it turned out to be such an awesome series because I never would have watched it initially had I known it was about the latter rather than the former.

Awwwwwww!

Rodeodoc: If I understand the article, the rest of America is supposed to tiptoe around anything relating to 9/11 in case we cause a New Yorker some stress.

Fark all New Yorkers. The world doesn't revolve around you. Get on with your life. And STFU.

NO! It's farkin redstater politicians who still want to use the tragedy to stir up nationalist sentiment while simultaneously writing us off as elitist dicks! Most New Yorkers were geting back to life as usual by October!

I hear Airborne Toxic Event has a gig on the Union Carbide Bophal anniversary.

Hector Remarkable: Wow, the album cover shows 9/11 exactly as it happened.
[i229.photobucket.com image 300x300]

Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever , yeah, kind of a long title, guys.

*googles*

The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their cinematic, elaborately developed guitar work, narratively styled instrumentals, what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies,"

They're not trying to hard to avoid the "emo hipster" label.
