Actually, that is a very accurate depiction of 1977.

Well... later in the video Huckabee makes a direct, unequivocal connection between poor people and black people. But that's certainly not a racist POV by any means.

Farkin' integrity.. how does that work?

The problem is it's being pushed on children among the home-school crowd. They won't know any better until they get out of whatever bible college their parents send them to. It's shiat like that which is making America less competitive in the world market.

This one was there as well.

Still, I don't mind seeing this repeated because it's so outrageously hilarious, particularly for all those people who consider Huckabee to be one of the "reasonable"/"moderate" Republicans.

But Huckabee is a man of Christ, he can't possibly be racist!

You know... the Teabaggers should construct special schools where children would be only taught the real truth about America, history, politics and the bible.

If only there was a name they could call those schools.

Something that starts with an "M"... like in "Merica". Any ideas?

The comments are great. I didn't bother watching the cartoon. I had a feeling it was full of derp.

Wait, what happened to the Alzheimer-suffering actor in charge of Iran-Contra and delaying the hostage release for political gain? I remember him being a creepy old bastard who called his wife "Mommy". That's just disturbed. Is it really possible to get away with this crap?

Cheers.

My favorite episode of that series is the one where we win World War II without any mention of FDR.

/I can't wait for Huckabee to make one about the Great Depression. I'd love to see him try to spin that turd fast enough to lift blame from Hoover.

Ya know, eveytime I think I'm doing poorly at my job by (mostly) lurking on Fark all day, I see something like this and realize that I could be doing much, much worse. Was there anything about that video that wasn't an unmitigated disaster?

And odds are these are the same people who scream how much they love America the loudest and their whole house is decked out in red white and blue.

Seems to be that the ones who wrap themselves in the flag the loudest actually care about the country the least.

They put him in the same place as the guy who openly supported Nun rapeing, central american terrorists. They share a room with the "man of strong morals and faith" who knocked up his second wife while he was still married to his first wife.

Love the FAQ section.

How are Learn Our History's products different from normal, boring history lessons?

Our films take viewers on a wild ride through space and time to learn history first hand! Young viewers will watch the past unfold before their eyes and will have the chance to understand why things happened the way they did.

Are Learn Our History's products a substitute for a traditional history education?

We intend for our products to be used together with other resources to teach history, social studies and current events. Our products encourage the open discussion of ideas and present American history in an unbiased light. They are also fun! And we know young viewers get more excited about learning after watching our films.

Are the videos suitable for homeschooling?

Absolutely! Learn Our History videos can be a fun and effective part of any home school curriculum. Whether your children are excelling at history already, or whether they need a little extra help, our videos will get them excited about learning history, social studies and current events. Plus, as they watch the videos, they'll be developing a deep appreciation for America and a strong sense of national pride.

Man, Reagan has a much stronger jaw than I remember...

"I have no desire for co-existence." That's Cartoon Reagan talking about the Soviet Union.

Fark you, Cartoon Reagan, and fark you, Huckabee. Ride a nuke, Slim Pickens style, down onto a Russian city that exists only in your mind, and blow yourself up, and hopefully all of your other "gotta have people to hate and kill to keep America strong under god" True Believers. I have no desire for coexistence with your type. Our goal should be to destroy all such idiotic ideas. No tolerance for the "Kill Indians/Negros/Japs/Krauts/Commies/Negros/Muslims for Jesus" morons.

At any rate, that cartoon was so awful in every way that it will simply bore kids out of their minds and have no effect whatsoever. The Huckabee types love to shriek with horror about the left indoctrinating kids. They won't hear any complaints from me about this--this kind of garbage never indoctrinates anyone. Snore.

Gosh, that Reagan was just like my father, if my father was a senile dimwitted washed-up actor-turned-politician.

Well, art is for them 'Murrica-hatin' Commie queerofags, so conservatives tend to suck horribly at it. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a conservative produce any type of art that wasn't laughably inept.

Same goes for their senses of humor. I've yet to see a right winger pull of a joke without seeming like an angry cynical asshole. Probably for obvious reasons.

Hey, I was part of the .00001% of chitlins that were home schooled because my parents thought they could do a better job. Thankfully I was also raised non-secular. Please stop maligning home schooling, you are only 99.99999% correct in doing so.

Or "nuns" "raped" and "murdered".

I really want to see the full length WWII episode that was teased in an earlier article. It had Orwellian written all over it.

I don't think I've ever gaped at political nonsense/propaganda before, and I regularly check out the Politics section, but this managed to achieve that reaction.

Holy carp. What manner of lunacy is this?
