Decent food? Insomuch as it doesn't smoke, drink or use foul language around children, but most food manages that.

Crapplebee's manages to fark up hamburgers. I'd rather eat at a Cracker Barrel than at Applebee's.

There are good things about Applebees? Oh, right, I forgot, it it is a good thing when you are walking out the door. It is even better if you are walking out the door without having eaten there.

CSB: When I was about 14 my dad took me there (19 years ago). This was probably the second time I had ever eaten there, and I got a hamburger. I ate most of it and promptly felt my gut roiling and I knew I was about to puke. looked down and realized that it was mostly uncooked. Their burgers, at least at the time, tasted so weird that I didn't even know the meat wasn't cooked well. I got up, walked in the bathroom and puked my guts up. Turned around and walked out with people staring at me and then realizing there was a horrendous smell coming from the bathroom. I thought about announcing loudly to everyone what had happened, but I figured that end of the restaurant was about to be cleared out anyway, so they got saved from the food no matter what.

I have a deep, abiding hatred for Applebees.

So, the Oklahoma fan drew the knife first, yet he is the only one in critical condition. That should tell you something right there.

I try not to be a snob, especially since we end up there for work lunches sometimes, but they have the saltiest food I have ever eaten in my life.

Don't get me wrong, I love salt. Salty food is great, but their food actively made me drink water to offset the sodium intake, I could feel my body urging me to do it so I wouldn't salt cure myself.

Also, college football fans will do what college football fans will do....

I don't mind hitting the chain restaurants on occasion, especially Red Robin, but I draw the line at Applebees. I've been there three times and the food sucked all three.

Yeah, that is the thing that bothers me about Applebees. I ate an undercooked hamburger at Wendys and I've eaten them on more than one occasion at various barbecues. No problems there. That burger at Applebees though, that was unreal. I think it may have been haunted. Or possessed. Maybe it was the Broodwich, but I would think the Broodwich would probably be fully cooked.

Just order chicken strips and it's pretty much impossible for anyone to screw it up if you're so goddamn whiny about food. It's like Fark is full of people who are proud to be a bunch of b*tches when it comes to food.

It's not a f*cking gourmet joint (no one ever said it was) but it fills your gut and, unless you're SWDL, it pretty much never makes you throw up or have the sh*ts. And that makes it adequate.

I haven't eaten at Applebees in years, but I don't remember it being particularly bad. It's hard to screw up a burger. It can be done, as somebody up-thread mentioned, but never been an issue for me.

That said, whenever I go out to eat it's at a bar of some kind. Best food around these parts by a mile.

Used to work at Applebee's. The problem with their food? They don't have a kitchen, per se. Just a row of microwaves.

We got our stakes precooked at various temperatures and simply microwaved them to heat through before serving them.

Any of you who claim to actually like anything from Applebee's would do well to just stick to the frozen dinners aisle in your local supermarket. It costs less, and it's the same food.

I love this. I go to Crapplebees about once a week, despite knowing that I won't have a good bowel movement for the next two days. But... My options are that or taking my chances at the pirate bar (really, called "the mutineer") down the street, which is only good in theory. You have to drink 2 for 1s and get steak towers somewhere...

In my experience, the food at Applebees is decent if you're starving and it's 11PM, but the service is farking horrible. Seriously, in every single Applebees I've been to, it takes forever to get your drinks, it takes even longer to get refills, and the entrees will probably come out farked up. After my last experience, I vowed never to eat at the 'Bees every again.

I think I enjoyed some soup there once. I'm probably thinking of Chili's.

All that shiat is too salty though.
