Isn't anal sex considered contraceptive? Cuz thats what I' prescribe...
2001-10-30 12:09:52 AM
I fail to see the Irony. Smoking pot illegal yet Zig Zags still sold at head shops. Who submitted this alanis morisette. When I was 16 sure wouldn't have minded getting laid.

If you are going to have sex with 16 year old girls, it's better they don't get pregnant. From a defense standpoint. The prosecution will eat your lunch if she has a baby just as ugly as you are.
2001-10-30 12:15:42 AM
it's not illegal if she's dead. But, then again, the contraceptives are pretty hard to get down at that point.

Little known fact here: Many women take birth control to help regulate their periods and make said periods less painful. Think of it as uterus fibercon, if it helps.

Little known fact: Woman snychronize their periods if they live together for a period of time.
2001-10-30 12:28:23 AM
Pfft, I knew a girl who said she was on the pill since she was 12. And it wasn't for medical reasons.

If there's grass on the playing feild
2001-10-30 12:31:32 AM
Henchman: you said it before I could...but I'm glad someone did. :) I was on the pill at 14, even though I stayed pure as the driven snow (well, mostly) for years after that.
2001-10-30 12:36:14 AM
Actually the pill will regulate you if you have an irregular cycle. But anyway...

Still upset they get 'em two years earlier then we do.
2001-10-30 12:40:10 AM
Some pill contraceptives sap sexual urges. At least, that's the excuse I've gotten for the last few months...Damn.
2001-10-30 12:44:06 AM
Science note: Women regulate their periods with a sale at Macy's...

2001-10-30 12:47:49 AM
Patron, did you really say "if there's grass on the playing field"??
2001-10-30 12:48:19 AM
This is true in a lot of states in the US, too. It's illegal in a lot of states to have sex outside of marriage, but birth control is prescribed to any woman who wants it. It's called the Sexual Revolution. Did anyone miss it, because it's in full swing.
2001-10-30 01:03:10 AM
Botsuraku_Hato "Some pill contraceptives sap sexual urges." TRUE! Pre-pill I could always rely on at least a couple days a month around ovulation time when I knew I'd get some. Now... 0. Farking inventor of this shiat was a twisted sadist.
2001-10-30 01:18:19 AM
id guess that both are to kill teen pregnencies.
2001-10-30 01:21:34 AM
Well if it makes you not want to do it, then your chances of getting knocked up certainly are less....

But then you don't have to take pills to follow that approach.

I'll stick with baseball and the cold shower. ; )
2001-10-30 01:40:30 AM
Actually. It *is* legal to have sex with a 16 year old in England.
2001-10-30 01:53:39 AM
I think the brand of anit-sex pill my girlfriend takes is called, "Allesse" or something like that. Damn straight... it's "a less" amount of nooky. The side effects warning should include: involuntary abstinence for sexual partner.
2001-10-30 02:05:42 AM
Fooshnik inventor was a sadist....You don't know the half of it!!!
There is another little known fact that if you start off having regular periods, taking the pill promptly farks your uterus to all hell, making you miserable, moody, crampy, irregular, massively bloated and gives you zits. If that's not a recipe for lovin', I don't know what is. Supposedly, there should be another way to make birth control pills, mimic the hormones your body produces when nursing which stops your period entirely. That is what I'm waiting for. That would not reduce sex drive either. Supposedly shouldn't make you lactate, either. But you'd have to do lots of testing, and I guess no one wants to sink money in that kind of R+D.
Candy you have no idea how jealous I am.
2001-10-30 02:30:45 AM
"Back then they didn't have these fancy birth control pulling out."
2001-10-30 02:45:05 AM
Here in the UK the *minimum* age for concensual sex is 16 - so it should read "It's illegal to have sex with a *15* year old in Britian ..."

(not that I'd know... LOL!)

id guess that both are to kill teen pregnencies.

At least one comment that makes sense.
There's indeed no irony involved here, only a lack of naive hypocrisy that says "oh, my kids don't do that".
Seen it happening at a high school... should there be a condom dispenser in the school? The parents protesting (and getting their way) because it would only put ideas in their kid's heads. As for the guys, sure a lot were onlky dreaming, but i know that at least the majority of the girls I knew had (or had had) a relationship, usually with some college guy... and not just platonic.

The fact that somebody labeled this ironic shows that that person probably has never seen the use of locks on doors. Hey, entering someone else house without permission is illegal, isn't it? So why put locks on the door?

2001-10-30 02:54:23 AM
Good point, those locks. Nice analogy for the legal context too.

As TooMuch2AM more or less said, the fark headline is incorrect after readign the article I would say it should read:
"It's illegal to have sex with a girl under 16 years old in Britian but legal to prescribe her contraceptives"
2001-10-30 03:12:42 AM
This good (female) friend of mine got a hormone shot a few weeks ago, apparently that would do something to make her not get pregnant for 3 months...
all I know was that she was biatchy that night, but she usually is, so fark that...
that's all
2001-10-30 03:19:36 AM
Norplant in the arm of every British preteen female. It works for seven years(?). By then, the female will be MORE INFORMED, and quite possibly READY to support a child.
2001-10-30 03:38:38 AM
I can legally purchase a bong, but if a cop catches me with it I'm busted. Same principle.

Great, now I'm thinking about pot and young women at 3:40am. At work, no less.
2001-10-30 04:04:52 AM
It's also illegal to smack policemen in the face if you see them giving your brother a kicking.
2001-10-30 04:08:13 AM
It is legal to sleep with 16 year olds... I know because I'm a policeman and I use my unifrom and influence here in London to get the impressionable schoolgirls learn about the long arm of the law... at my apartment!
2001-10-30 04:14:21 AM
It really wouldn't surprise me if the above was just truth, as opposed to pretending to irony.
2001-10-30 04:55:55 AM
Patron, the real rhyme goes "If there's grass on the wicket, let's play cricket". However, given how shiate we are at said game, I think we should leave the shagging for the ozzies...
2001-10-30 05:02:02 AM
Why do we tell teens that sex is sooooooo damn bad. Why do we feed them the threat that if they have sex, they're going to die? I say make birth control free and tell teens and adults alike to enjoy sex and not fear it so goddamn much. Educating our youth is the answer. Of course you will have bible-thompping Bob saying "Them kids don't need to learn about sex from commie teacher."
Yes, I'm aware my post is a bit off subject.
2001-10-30 05:02:20 AM
I'm not sure but i think the age of consent is lower in Barnsley that the rest of the UK. Or is it that Barnsley is just full of underaged slappers, I forget ;)
2001-10-30 05:15:22 AM
Blumf: It because there's something in the air in Barnsley... it's generally their legs.
2001-10-30 05:21:46 AM
[snicker] :)
2001-10-30 05:33:51 AM
Erm. Contraceptives are often prescribed instead of psychological drugs in order to stabilise girls - the homones regulate a whole lot of shiat. Also some genetically inherited illnesses are staved off by some courses of hormones. For this reason alone, you can't make it illegal. Also Britain's a bit more practical about these kinds of law than america - at least decriminalisation prevents the kind of abuse that can occur when a juvenile's actions fall outside of the law.
2001-10-30 05:44:23 AM
The only thing missing from this thread is the Americans trying to discuss the use of the Irony tag.
2001-10-30 05:55:17 AM
Taking the pill can also have the side effect of thickening the blood, which is helpful in the case of hemophyliacs (sp?). As far as shagging 16yr olds, I kinda prefer the older ones who already know how to do what I ask them.
2001-10-30 06:54:38 AM
What's ironic is that it's illegal for a guy to shag a girl who is under the age of 16. But it's not illegal for a girl of 15 to have sex. Or for any girl to pop the oh-so willing cherry of an underage lad. If there's a large age difference, the question of sexual molestation rears it's ugly head of course. But for an 18 year old girl, 14 year old guys are legal bait! (If they can make do with hormone-crazed effort over Stud power, that is LOL)
2001-10-30 07:08:15 AM
Well, maybe that's because it's a bit harder to get a 14 year old boy pregnant, Lindsey?
2001-10-30 07:09:36 AM
In some parts of England. it's not unusual to find white Grand-mothers under the age of 30, with mixed race offspring.
I suggest repatriation for all the kiddie-farkers.

Where was my 18 year old girl when I was 14???!?!?!

And mine! That's not fair!

The Pill makes Goth chicks?

"The Pill makes Goth chicks?"

And not very attactive ones at that :)
