That's one tough looking eight year-old.

As someone who got his first driving lesson at age 12 from his inebriated father, I'm getting a kick out of these replies.

/"The clutch is the opposite of sex, jam it in and let it out gently."
//"I'm 12, Dad, that doesn't help me much."
///Dude got married at least six times, so he must have had game

Kid's 8, long as he can reach the operating controls of the vehicle, better him behind the wheel than his dead beat drunk dad.

Out here in farm country it isn't unusual to see kids 10 years old driving a truck or a tractor, not as common as it once was mind, but it still happens fairly regular.

skinink: "Investigators say they turned the children over to the state. Yellow Cab for a shift."
Kid drove 100 miles on the interstate without crashing. I've seen worse drivers.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how well he did.

One normally starts out learning at very low speed.

Hey dad, I'm stopping for ice cream, maybe that will sober you up?

Godspeed brave soldier..

The 13 year old in the back couldn't work the shift...

Quantum Apostrophe: At least he has kids, not like some kind of childless loser.

If he didn't have kids, why would they be driving? And seems like folks with kids tend to be bigger losers than the childfree.

Submitter, don't listen to the wet blankets up there; this was amusing.

As a man from Louisiana (Houma, born and raised), I would like to make it clear that no one that I know would let their kid drive like that. On the other hand, when I was 10 or so my aunt let me drive on I-10 in New Orleans...at rush hour... Although said aunt was/is quite crazy.

/Got an ice cream sundae that day for being a decent driver.
//Legally blind then, and still am.
///Farfignugen.
