You could see a smirk in the anchor's face, like he was thinking "Ha ha! Gatcha!" When everyone that understands the subject was thinking, "WTF is this guy even talking about? One has nothing to do with the other. The moon doesn't even have an atmosphere."

Think about it, in the 1970's NASA drove infinitely more cars around on the moon than have ever been driven on the moon.

But did the moon's climate change? No.

Bill Nye is actually a pretty bright guy, and has done a lot to promote interest in science. He's no Einstein or Feynman, but he's not a crackpot either.

Well, since that's a dead link, I'm going to assume it's the same one that was on fark yesterday.

And Laugh.

For starters: It wasn't NASA. It was a notorious climate change denialist in the employ of a climate change denial organization who presented a questionable set of data which did not support the statement he made.

Agreed. In terms of popularizing interest in science, he's up there with, I think, Sagan or Neil deGrass Tyson or Isaac Asimov.

Early Fox News

Intro
Grog Hannity - Liberals believe the earth is, get this, "round" and circles the sun. Have you ever heard anything so preposterous?
Boola Ingraham - It's absurd. This is just a ploy by liberal schools to remove god from society. God gave us the earth, so why wouldn't we be the center of the universe? It just makes sense.
Hannity - I agree. I mean, put ants on a ball. Then shake it. Do they fall off? Every time. Now put them on a table and shake that. What happens? They stay on. If the earth was round, every earthquake would send us flying into the sky.
Ingraham - Obviously. Not to mention the earth would probably be smashing into things. Have you ever seen any round object just "hang" in mid-air, the way these liberal elitists claim the earth does in space? No. It'd be on a flat surface or flying off of walls.
Hannity - Great point. Up next, liberals want to teach contraceptive use in schools, and claim "rain dance only" education has failed. We'll explore why they're wrong.
Ingraham - And later we'll have a special guest tell us why liberals still stick to the idea that rain is a product of water evaporating into an atmosphere, and not angels peeing on us. Liberal science vs. Trickle down theory: we report, you decide. Next.

But did the moon's climate change? No.

It was an electric car and as you pointed out a 100% increase in auto use on the moon resulted in no measurable warming. Therefore, we all need to drive lunar rovers.

No where in the bible does it say that Jesus created the moon, so it doesn't exist. And, the moon is not in the constitution so its not constitutional. I can't believe the good people at Fox News are even entertaining the idea of this blasphemy.

Just as tough to do that as to type it properly, apparently.

Also, no one other than the scientists apparently know what the data indicate, so clouds could or could not be seeded by cosmic rays, and it's still unclear what if any effect that would have on climate. When the data come out, there will be other non-CERN physicists who most certainly are capable of interpreting the data. I myself doubt that this is represented accurately, given that the only sites I can find it at are whargarble sites.

I'm bewildered by the number of supposed sentients who believe the phases of the moon are caused by the earth shadow...

However, I was married to someone who upon viewing a comet in the morning sky asked if it was currently over Nebraska

In her defense she was very pretty and a victim of an Idaho public education. But then again, so am I. Memotype trumps phenotype everytime
