I've taken EXACTLY one Oxycontin pill, prescribed by an ER doc after shredding my ankle playing basketball.

I was such a fricking disaster during and after that one pill, that I flushed the rest of them down the toilet.

They prescribed me some Oxy after my c section. It was a low dose and I was afraid to take them. I finally gave in when the pain was intolerable. I don't know what the big deal was. They worked but I didn't feel any different in the head. I tried not to take too many though. How much does one have to take to have the desired effect?

aaaaaand this is the issue with so-called "pain clinics" aka The Addict's Best Friend.

Hopefully, these things will be going away very soon, as its sad that more than 75% of the addicts treated at the center where I work admittedly get their drugs from these so-called pain clinics...where they go in, lie about beng in chronic pain, and get narcotic pain killers.

Hopefully, the DHH will end its "Whaddaya gonna do? Pain is subjective so give em narcs" attitude sooner rather than later.
