Looks like EVERY OTHER TILT-SHIFT VIDEO OUT THERE.

This technique is getting old. How about using the opposite effect when filming models, to make them look realistic.

I'd love to see a model railway looking realistic, particularly one with steam engines (CGI not eligible).

Most tilt-shift videos I see are 'fake' shifted in post.. rather than with the expensive lenses. Anyway, it turns out time-lapses of small villages are incredibly boring.

What in the heck is a tit-shift?

wow. i did the wikipedia trail all the way to the Scheimpflug Principle and that is some serious geometry. It looked cool when I watched the video but now my brain hurts.

That was shooped...

I can tell from the pixels and from having seen a number of shoops in my day.

Having said that, that was pretty decent.

It seems that for every bit better we get at making fake shiat look real, we get just as good at making real shiat look fake.

/How do I know that the color blue to you is the same as the color blue to me?

Craptastic: What in the heck is a tit-shift?

A video that would be a lot more interesting than this one?

It would be alot of work to pull off, but I'd love to see a video like this of construction equipment and a little kid superimposed over the top holding them and moving them around while providing sound effects.

It might have worked better with a bit more color saturation. Makes it look more plastic toy-like that way.

I'm sort of over the whole tilt/shift thing too, but it would be very interesting to see extremely violent present day war with that effect. It would really express a lot of the futility of that nasty habit of battle in which mankind often engages itself.

Read the last part of that sentence in your mental Orson Wells voice.
