that sucked

The light 'play' was beautiful, there's so much more potential for this with more complicated instructions.

You know what these people are?

Mimes without makeup.

I can't support that. Sorry. At least the ones with makeup give you a warning with their appearance. These Improv Everywhere folks? They're like stealth mimes.

Stealth. Mimes.

F♥ck
that.

Wow, was this an experiment to see just how lame you can get a bunch of people to act using a boring, ill-conceived mp3 as their guide?

I think this flash mob improv crap has definitely jumped the shark.

2011-07-25 03:16:29 PM
wow. you guys really need to get the sand out of your vaginas. I participated, and it was a blast. people stayed for a long time afterwards, just having fun.

2011-07-25 04:17:11 PM
They still do this crap?

2011-07-25 04:22:07 PM
I missed the part where the voice told them all to jump off of the GWB. Because that's the only thing that would make that worth watching.

These are the same people that loved drama in high school and are excellent at their job flipping burgers.

You can get mindless NYers to do anything as long as you tell them it's cool, hip and cutting edge.

2011-07-25 06:48:27 PM
Improv Everywhere is so incredibly tired...does anyone really care about this anymore?

2011-07-25 07:14:00 PM
In other news people still participate in flash mobs.

Good, gives those without lives something to do.

/what is this 2009?

You guys are so edgy and counterculturish. I bet you all dress all in black too.

2011-07-25 07:27:39 PM
If you skip to the last few minutes the light stuff is cool.

You know, the fun part of watching these is seeing unsuspecting people react while something unusual and out of the ordinary unfolds before them.

This? This was just a few thousand people getting together in one place to act goofy. Might as well have been footage from a concert or festival or something. Yawn.

The shark, folks. You've now left it behind,

2011-07-25 10:15:22 PM
Wow guys, I didn't know so many of you had vaginas and that they were all sandy.

The event was fun for the 3000+ that went and it seemed like all the images of people who had no idea what was going on enjoyed seeing it or at least laughing at them. People have fun doing these things, go try one of them some time with your friends. Great way to meet people and just not care about things except having fun.

Would be nice if the last instruction was to make sure to pick up all the glow sticks and crap they threw around.

So what did the sandy vagina crew do for the last week? Play world of Warcraft? Call of Duty? D&D?

We all went and picked up a bunch of spent glow sticks that some lemming assholes left all over the place. ;)

/Lame stunt was lame stunt, no sandy vaginas needed to see that.

I refuse to even watch the video, Improv Everywhere is a joke and it really makes actual improv look ridiculous. For those of you that went, stop supporting morons; it would be akin to paying to see a Dane Cook show. Keep supporting them, and they'll never stop, and the quality will never get better and you will keep making the baby Jesus cry.

Volunteers (like me) stuck around to make sure everything was the way we found it.

The rest of you need to get outside more and stop jumping to conclusions and whining so much. Really just pathetic and sad.

The butthurt here is hilarious.

"You are a bunch of sandy vagina'd poopyheads!" "Why wont you approve of our cry for attention?! Why?"

2011-07-26 03:13:49 PM
Why would a prerecorded mp3 say "great job everybody"? Aren't there preschool toys that do the same thing?
"'J'. Jump. everyone jump! Good job!
GA GA GOO GOO! HEHE HEHFHSDJFHA

They need to get creative. The whole "let's all get together in town square and do the same thing" thing is old and boring. 99% of the people in the area are from Improv Everywhere so you're not having much effect on anyone, you're just performing to yourselves. And anyone not involved quickly figures out what's going on in 5 seconds and goes on with their day. I say they should have more missions with a smaller group and fark with people more on a 1 on 1 basis instead of the big crowd thing.

Yeah, seriously . . . .
I was in this event as well, and we made something beautiful happen. Feature it on fark.com and it gets shiat upon.
Is it so horrible, so many people need to log in and shiat on it?

ActionJoe Would be nice if the last instruction was to make sure to pick up all the glow sticks and crap they threw around.
FYI, Joe, not all of the instructions were included in the video. Many people hung around, as per instruction, to clean up.

I spent a few moments of my otherwise meaningless and hardworking life, joining in with some other random people to make an incredible display of joy.

Sorry it hurt all of you so much.

I'm surprised that the NYPD didn't show up with SWAT teams and bulldozers to mass-remove/arrest everyone. They don't take kindly to un-permitted gatherings.

2011-07-27 03:11:37 AM
I enjoyed the video, and then I knowingly came back to fark and enjoyed all the snarky comments about it as well.

I say, anyone who disagrees with either of these things I enjoyed has a sandy vagina.
