Can the Washington Times tell the difference between bat sh** crazy patriot for dollars and comedian? Evidently not.

Bad moonies! No!

2011-07-19 09:48:14 AM
This reads like some random guy's blog. Is this guy paid by the Times for such a misinformed rant?

2011-07-19 09:49:35 AM
I get that sometimes people miss satire when it's subtle, but the point of Stewart's rally was pretty obvious to anyone with more than a few brain cells.

2011-07-19 09:53:47 AM
Have I told you my theory that conservatives don't understand satire?

2011-07-19 09:55:39 AM

The rally couldn't have been more obviously satire if Colbert told everyone to dress up in their scariest Halloween costumes to help keep fear alive.

I didn't realize the Washington Times was owned by Murdoch...

2011-07-19 10:08:34 AM
Glenn who? Sorry, but he's been off TV now for more than two weeks...as far as most Americans are concerned, he's about as important as the 5th to last person to be kicked off American Idol at this point.

Cat Stevens, who is now an Islamofascist terrorist supporter.

...

It was about attacking innocent people for loving God and expressing pride in having religious faith.

These two statements from the same article left here without additional comment.

Eric Golub looks at the idiocy that is Jonah Goldberg and thinks, "I could be that Jew".

Glenn Beck's "courage" includes moving the site of his rally due to concerns for his own safety.

YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

I think Stewart/Colbert was more about promotion than satire. Just like Beck's was more about promotion than whatever the hell he was getting at.

Hell, they pay extra for those.

What's with all the Moonie Times bullshiat getting greened lately? If I wanted to know what a bunch of cultists think about society and politics I'd peel their opinions off the bottom of some guy's shoe on the train.

The only Republican Jewish women I know are over 60 and living in Boca. The vast majority of non-Hassids/Orthodox are Democrats. This is good, as it means the chances of this man finding someone to breed with are slim to none.

Their bottoms are made out of derp

I love that people take a political comedian so seriously. I wonder if the fringe lunatics and aspiring malefactors during the Dark Ages were as threatened by court jesters.

2011-07-19 10:21:28 AM
I'm pretty sure part of the rally was the "to restore fear" bit that Colbert was doing. This guy must have missed the joke.

Who wants to go on a road trip to forcibly sterilize this guy? People that stupid shouldn't reproduce.

This article is satire, right?

He has to be shooting for some sort of low rent Andy Kaufman professional wrestling thing but with journalism.
