Gothnet: neongoats: not one of those girl pics were making the duckface

Is this some new sexual act I haven't heard of?

No, it's that annoying fad of not smiling for pictures but rather making a poutyface that's a cross between eating a lemon and saying the word 'pruuuuunes' instead of 'cheeeese'.

Whichever Olsen twin is on the left is doing it.

Look at that face. You don't go for the already downtrodden and alienated, they can't take it and it's beyond cruel to mock them.
The target are the happy and cocky because they 1 can just laugh it off or 2 be taught some humility. That guy is a major prick

Man, that guy -- and every single poster in this thread -- is a misogynistic asshole. Every one of those women got to feel worse about herself, for no reason other than some jerk has comical MS Paint skills and no empathy. About as funny as a picture of a clown made from fly's wings.

I have to agree with all the others that are saying its a bit too far to go after the really hideous ones. Especially when they look down to begin with. Because:

a.) its too easy...takes the brilliance out of it (and some of them were brilliant)
b.) they are going to think that someone randomly singled them out to make fun of them. They know that they are fat or ugly and have probably heard it for most of their lives. They've already got no self esteem, and it probably took some guts for them to put themselves out there on a dating website in the first place.

The pretty girls will get the troll message and think, "Geez there's something wrong with this person....and does my adam's apple really stick out like that??" while the uglier ones will think, "What is wrong with me, no one will ever love me, I might as well off myself" or something like that. They'll never assume that someone would devote themselves to a mission of trolling a dating website, they will assume its their fault.

I mean, some of these are really funny, but it takes a certain kind of depravity to make this kind of thing and send it young girls. So much of a girl's feelings of self worth are tied up in what other people think of their appearence. Its sad that its like that, but its a result of the society we live in. Wish this "artist" would use his creativity to do something constructive rather than hurt the innocent in such a personal way after they've made themselves vulnerable in hopes of finding a date.

I dunno, maybe I'm wrong to get all butt hurt over it.... I'll admit it, I laughed. But my natural tendency to stick up for the underdogs kinda makes me want to punch this guy in the cock.

Does such a picture of a clown exist? That sounds pretty cool.

Despite being a farkette, I don't find intentional cruelty funny, unless of course it's an idiot submitter, poster or politician that asks for it.
The homely girls most likely have self esteem issues to begin with.
Whoever did this is a basement dwelling dick.

Chaon: Since I don't see Comrade Buzzkillington around, I'll stand in for him.

I thought they were all cruel and unfunny. But if I'm the only one who feels that way, then I'm willing to admit it must be something I ate. Or gas. Or gas caused by something I ate.

I thought they were cruel *and* funny (some were funny, anyway). I kept thinking about some poor, introverted woman finally getting the courage to get onto a dating site, getting a reply the next day, maybe feeling a little rush of excitement, and then opening her mail to see that some asshole drew her with a smear of red on her fat chin, a five o'clock shadow and an exaggeratedly square face. Or that slightly cross-eyed girl who otherwise looks fine, and sees a caricature of her face with extremely crossed eyes, an ugly, trapezoidal face, and a mouth full of Chiclet teeth.

On the other hand, I did find several of them amusing. So I guess that makes me an asshole, too.

2011-07-19 05:27:25 AM
Its the kind of thing thats really hilarious when you're drunk in a bar with all your buddies, scribbling caricatures on napkins, and everyone in the bars going, "oooo draw me next, do me now!"

The fact that these are girls that are opening themselves up and making themselves vulnerable for the sake of finding a like-minded person that might be interested in them, and are getting blindsided by some jerkwad that has fooled them into thinking that he's interested ....that's what pushes this into "my god, you have no soul" territory.

There's a part of me that's hoping that these never actually got sent to the girls though. You'd think he would have included some of their responses, because if he's the type of person that likes ruining girls' self images of themselves, he'd be the type to get some sort of sick joy from their responses.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my regular doses of schadenfreude, but its usually deserved.

I must admit that I still can (and sometimes do) laugh my ass off when I re-read the Wizard Robe and Hat bit. So... You're not alone. (If you've never read it in its entirety, but I doubt that's possible, then you really should.)

I laughed at the blonde one, cringed at the black one (racist insult to a pretty lady), and decided that on the whole, way more misogynist than funny.

But hey, this is fark.

Making fun of ugly is all fine and good, but everyone is an odd camera angle away of looking like the quasimodo. So, beware of what trend you start, because odds are if you get to be the butt of your junior high jokes you won't look any better than the drill lady.

NannerPuss: Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my regular doses of schadenfreude, but its usually deserved.

There's good schadenfreude and bad schadenfreude. Laughing at ugly people isn't the good kind. The good kind is much more satisfying.

Some years ago I enjoyed reading about vixenlove. Vixenlove was a chatbot written by some guy for the AOL IM network. Vixen was pretty simple, just looking for words or phrases in what people said then throwing out a few stock phrases. She pretended to be a 16 year old girl, people would either try and sex her up, which she would seem to go along with before calling them a sick pervert, or sometimes they'd actually think she was a friend. All the logs were published online. The friend ones were sad. The perverts were damned funny.

What do you folks think of tardblog?

first I was all "WTF movie is THAT???" then I googled it, than I facepalmed at myself.

In the "artist's" defense, I think a lot of the uglier ones could have been more average looking if they had presented themselves a little better--putting on makeup, wiping the sweat off of their face, etc. I mean, who takes a picture of themselves to post on a dating website without bothering to shave first? Of all of the girls, I think only one or two really qualified as irredeemable ugmos. The rest probably could have found better pictures of themselves to post if they had bothered to make the effort.

2011-07-19 06:03:32 AM
I giggled first at the picture the person decided to upload to their profile, then at the artist's interpretation.

Actually the RIchard Williams Christmas Carol cartoon version of Ignorance and Want are a hell of a lot scarier. In fact, that cartoon is probably hands-down the most frightening, true-to-the-original version of the story that exists. No wonder it never gets shown and people have hardly heard of it.

You can see it on Youtube, though. (new window) Prepare to crap yourself when Jacob Marley shows up. You've been warned.

Hmm yeah, form a line. The fat chick with stubble thing makes me want to inflict an old fashioned WWE style chair beating. There's a reason Martha Dumptruck is alive at the end of Heathers, while all her tormenters are dead.

What do you folks think of tardblog?

The "Tardblog" I know of was written by someone who loved her tards and spent every day trying to make their lives better. Funny, compassionate (in its own way) and well-written. I felt bad that her coping mechanism would likely have got her fired if anyone found out.

When I first heard about the internet back in the early-90s this kind of stuff and 4chan etc really, really wasn't what I was expecting from the new "information superhighway".

They were all good and funny pictures lol! One of the things that will make life easier is being able to laugh at yourself. Both the Uglies and the Beauties should have this trait to lead an enjoyable (and less miserable for the Uglies) life.

The artist sounds like a great guy. To pick on some vulnerable people and bully and humiliate them, yup,he's a hero. Certainly the kind of guy that has queues of women waiting for his call...

If it were payback to one person on the site who had done him a bad turn, fine, but so many attacks? Sociopath or just sad little wanker who can't get laid and blames all women everywhere?

Xetal: In retrospect, it is mean to draw the obvious ugliness to the already ugly chicks. There are so many 6-10 chicks that you could make fun of, no need to club the 1-5s over their already ugly heads.

Well, look at it this way: now that they've been posted to fark, they'll have hundreds of eligible young bachelors masturbating over images of their faces. So that should cheer them up a bit.

Stupid biatches totally deserve this shiat for not wanting to be lonely and being all stuck up and stuff and rejecting the artist...oh no wait, this was his initial communication with them, clearly he was sure these women *would* reject him if he approached them. Must be some history there, he gets rejected a lot obviously.

I guess I'm not a big fan of finding lonely people and making fun of them in way that only serves to make them feel even more lonely. It seems pointless and not really funny.
