Once again, the Japs have taken an American great idea and made it 1000% better.

2003-09-03 05:15:11 PM
ehh....i've been able to get that here in san diego for the past 6 years or so.

2003-09-03 05:16:13 PM
"I'd like a medium squid ink and a 6-pak of Sapporo, delivered, please"

Derek

Really? Damn. Well, I live in the Midwest... which is practically the sticks compared to you guys anyway.

2003-09-03 05:26:38 PM
yeah.

one place (stuft pizza) will deliver 1-gallon jugs of whatever they have on tap. you have to pay a deposit on the jugs and it can be a bit expensive. but it beats driving after you've already had a few.

also, the local mom-n-pop place will have their delivery driver stop at the liquor joint nextdoor for their regulars.

2003-09-03 05:37:45 PM
Next thing you know they'll have beer on golf courses.

2003-09-03 07:18:55 PM
All you got to do is tell them you will tip the driver $5.00 if they stop and pick you up a couple of six packs. Works 9 out of 10 times, and is an especially good way for you baby farkers to score beer.

2003-09-03 07:21:18 PM
Oh, and if they say no their driver can't/won't do that.. just tell them you don't want their stinking pizza and call another place.

2003-09-03 07:29:32 PM
Woah, a double deuce!

2003-09-03 07:30:45 PM
That was one thing I loved about visiting my sister in Austin. The only downside...American beer.

Sorry/Canadian

2003-09-03 07:31:02 PM
The next big thing? Pizza with Hentai rape comics.

2003-09-03 07:31:11 PM
Pfft. Been doing that forever up here in the Great White North. Then again, we get beer in our baby bottles and beer smoothies in our tweens.
Beauty, eh!

...when I was in college (mid 90's, Massachusetts) - the pizza shops delivered pizza, beer, and cigarettes.

Yeah, place I used to work at would call out for beer about 2 in the morning, stopped that after someone fell into a chemical vat; me.

Now I just sit around and think of ways to annoy batman.

How much money would "Brooks" make if he charged $5 to see those SbB chicks naked?

2003-09-03 07:33:01 PM
at Ohio University theres a pizza (im pretty sure its Courtside Pizza but it has been a all summer since ive been down there) place that delivers beer as well....but its natural light and its way too damn expensive

2003-09-03 07:33:13 PM
Lots of places near Ohio State deliver alcohol. Based on how their pizza tastes, I think it's the only way they stay in business. Then again, this town is full of lushes.

2003-09-03 07:33:54 PM
They have beer in movie theaters =P
Please tell me they don't do that in the US?
I couldn't imagine the what the audience behaviour would be like then! hehe.

THere is this place called Chicken & Pizza around here who deliver beer...they also delover the best wings known to man. It may be the only decent place near or in dayton, ohio

2003-09-03 07:38:27 PM
in sydney you can call a cab to get them to pick up beers from a bottle shop and bring them to your house. I also got them to deliver ice cream when i had a serious case of the munchies.

it's a bit expensive but when you just don't want to get off your arse to duck down to the shops - it's fantastic.

Please bring back the Japan tag Mods. No Japan tag makes baby Jesus cry.

2003-09-03 07:38:39 PM

If this is the pizza...you're gonna need a lot more that a sixer to finish it.

2003-09-03 07:38:44 PM
When I was in college, there was a place down the road that used to do that. They also delivered groceries too.

2003-09-03 07:39:37 PM
Jackanapes
We're sorry you're Canadian too.

Actually at Rogan's Pizza in Ithaca, they were selling beer/cigs/etc with pizza deliveries for as long as I can remember being there...and that was 1992.

God, big deal. When I was like 17 I worked in this pizza joint and we delivered beer. We damn well should have, since the place was friggin' called BC's Pizza and Beer.

I remember there was this one dude who ordered the same thing from us, every single farkin' day of the week. A medium pepperoni and mushroom with a 6-pack of Bud Light. Everyday. And sometimes we'd even stop at the store on the way to his place and grab him a pack of smokes. He'd tip extra for that. He was like some kind of retired architect that apparently just didn't like leaving his house too much. Takes all kinds I guess.

Anyway, yeah. Pizza places delivering beer = old and busted. Pizza places employing stunning female delivery chicks delivering BJ's = new hotness.

Bill_Brasky: That's their pizza??

"What the deuce?!"

strippers and beer delivery

2003-09-03 07:47:45 PM
I deliver pizza at night. Couple of nights during the week. If I know it is not a sting operation by the cops, I will pick up a 12 pack. I have no problem with that. This has gone on for a long time. So what.

2003-09-03 07:47:51 PM
MMMMmmmmmmm.... Beer......... Agggg. (Drools)

2003-09-03 07:53:33 PM
But can I still pay the delivery guy with a neck bomb?

/climbs into handbasket...

2003-09-03 07:53:41 PM
Hollaback

That's just one of the many pizza nightmares!

2003-09-03 07:54:27 PM
The new fad here in the US is pizza places delivering bombs, strapped around employee's necks.

2003-09-03 07:55:10 PM
Blanko - there's a hoity toity theater in Denver that has beer & wine & a full bar. The people that go there are such stiffs, they ought to force feed them beer bongs before each performance.

2003-09-03 07:55:51 PM
philly shops have been doing that for years, its nothing new.

2003-09-03 07:56:41 PM
I am impressed that someone out there reads a website dedicated to pizza news.

animefarka is right! bring it back!
one time i ordered a pizza and the delivery guy dropped the breadsticks on the floor right in front of me and he still wanted me to pay for them. I surrendered like a Frenchman...so hungry...

2003-09-03 07:59:11 PM

/lives in san diego

2003-09-03 08:00:14 PM
they could also score some pot, pick up a prostitute on the way and deliver the whole package. call it something like boobs, buds, grub and suds. I for one would save alot of gas money on account I would'nt need to leave the house.

wine for 86 cent? Dayamn, that's some cheap whine. But i guess you'd expect that when the vinyard is a beer manufacturer.

"ahem, i'll have the 1994 Budweiser Cabernet please"

Is it actually illegal to ask your friendly driver to stop and pick you up a 12pack for repayment and a better tip? Seems to be common in nyc and also by numerous comments here..

Sod A Dog

www.stuftpizza.com

cruise their site for locations. i lived in carmel mountain ranch for awhile and their location used to deliver arrogant bastard ale for $10 a gallon. they'll have others on tap. stay away from their in-house brew though. it's horrible.

otherwise call your non-chain pizza joint and just ask them. if you promise to tip the driver a bit extra they'll probably do it for you.
