I was in college when Man of Colours was released. I still listen to it. But... have any of the members done anything noteworthy in this millennium?

Huh, I actually don't remember ever hearing that one. I do remember a bunch of other ones MTV used to play in their first couple years of existence - "Icehouse", "We Can Get Together", "Great Southern Land" and a couple others.

Man of Colours is an awesome CD - I still listen to it from time to time. The song I know most from the CD is My Obsession, but Heartbreak Kid is a favorite.

"Heartbreak Kid" is also my favorite. Apparently it is cliche 80s pop or something like that judging by the reaction of a college student I played it for a few years ago. That's OK. I'll keep my dated tastes.

Holy shiat, the mullets, the keytar, the saxophone ... and the dude just standing around in the video.

Ah, the 80s. Somebody kill me. I don't want to relive it.

/did like the music, tho

I was huge into 80s new wave and electronica. I went clubbing just about every weekend in the late 80s. I religiously taped "120 Minutes" every Sunday.

And as much as I don't want to be "That guy" I have to say I've never heard of this band before today.

Don't know how these folks slipped under my radar.

Is it going to be 30 tracks of Electric Blue remixes?

Impossible. They played the video for Electric Blue every 15 minutes on Mtv for the entire fall and winter of 1987. You couldn't listen to a Top 40 radio station for more than an hour without hearing it.

That's why it's so farking weird. "Electric Blue" sounds vaguely familiar. It's possible I heard it and just thought it was Tears for Fears or something. Still can't recall ever hearing the band's name, though. And I know for sure I've never seen that video.

Oh heck, I was thinking this was ELO's "Midnight Blue."

I've never actually heard of these guys, either.

I was in 8th grade when I saw this band on Mtv. They had videos and concert footage for the songs "We Can Get Together," "Sister," "I Can't Help Myself," and "Icehouse." I liked their stuff and bought the album and thought it, too, was really cool.

But got damb, that Icehouse video scared the piss out of me. I still don't know if I could watch it.

I tried to watch Kim Carnes' "Draw of the Cards" video a couple years ago since it also scared the hell out of me as a kid. It's still a little too creepy.

Which is weird because I now love creepy stuff. How strange.

Here's a link for "Draw of the Cards" if you want to see how creepy it is (especially at the end). It's actually a cool song.
