why the hell would anyone want to buy it....
2001-10-28 07:43:20 AM
Why does it say the car is currently in Brooklyn, but lower it says "Location: sarasota, FL?"

I think a child molester would love to drive around school yards with it.
2001-10-28 07:45:31 AM
I was thinking the same thing 3M TA3. It would be easier to influence young children into your car if you had candy AND a Pika-mobile.
2001-10-28 07:48:16 AM
OK point taken...good for a child molester but who the hell else would want it?
2001-10-28 07:50:18 AM
Probably the only person who would buy this are people like that Buffalo Bill guy from Silence of the Lambs
2001-10-28 08:08:22 AM
Personally, I'd prefer a Totoro bug.
2001-10-28 08:33:59 AM
Well, I'd like it. My friends all think I'm weird already anyway... I'm the only 37-year old I know who gets up at 8 on Saturday mornings (after staying out drinking til 2 or so) to watch Pokemon. Yeah, I could tape it, but it's more fun to watch on Saturday mornings!

I'd rather "Kikatchu"
2001-10-28 09:07:33 AM
BigPhilly is violating my "comfort zone".
2001-10-28 09:15:11 AM
I love how the description specifies it has a 'color' TV. What is this, 1974?

Well, given a lot of TVs in cars are black and white...
2001-10-28 09:56:29 AM
that is hands down the gayest car I've ever seen.
maybe they should stick to making pokemon-themed bikes and inline sc00terz, so the people who are actually into this kind of shiat will be suckered into buying it.
2001-10-28 10:03:09 AM
That is nowhere near the gayest car ever. The gayest car ever can be found at
2001-10-28 10:38:10 AM
"Horn goes 'PIKA-PIKA'"

Good (insert divine entity here), NO!

Imagine some stupid looking yellow bug behind you going "pika pika" in absolute irritation...
I cringe, claws out and teeth bared, at the thought.

And Tostfeld:I would much prefer a Totoro bug, too.
2001-10-28 10:40:16 AM
Cavaradossi I so want that car!!!! (look at my ID and guess why) Hey, its better then the Mustangs I see riding around that have the Chromeillusion paint on them. The paint changes color depending on how the light hits it, but it comes up with some pretty ugly color combos along the way.
2001-10-28 10:44:11 AM
The only reason I can imagine someone would want this car is because, it is more or less uniqe. No, really. I think there is something like 5 in existence, and Nintendo gave them away to some contest winners a long time ago (I remember reading about how I could win one of the 5 pokemon cars in Electronic Gaming Monthly, before they changed their named to "eXpert Gamer".

Maybe they should have tried selling this car when pokemon was really popular. Would make more sense.
2001-10-28 11:05:50 AM
lol 21 bids. can the seller bid for his own things?
2001-10-28 11:23:24 AM
Well... it would be great fo detering carjackers!
2001-10-28 11:24:46 AM
OK. I admit. If I had the money, I'd buy it. Only because you can't look at the damn thing without smiling. What a great way to wake up every morning.
2001-10-28 11:30:37 AM
Yeah, the sound of a brick flying through your window could wake the dead...
2001-10-28 11:41:56 AM
Wow, Cavaradossi has got that right. That Diablo is the gayest thing I have ever seen. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If I had bucks, I'd buy the Pikamobile... and mount a generator on it and shoot friggin' lightning off when I get behind some slow-ass Canadian down here driving slow for 4 months a year.

Can you imagine? "PIKA-PIKA!" ZZZzzzap!! Sweeet.
2001-10-28 12:30:38 PM
BigPhilly, that would be so awesome.

I think Squirtle car would be awesome too ;)
2001-10-28 12:30:54 PM
That is rad. I would totally buy the Pika-Mobile if I had the money. I would drive around all day honking the Pika-Pika horn, and can you imagine how cool a high speed chase in the Pika-Mobile would be?
2001-10-28 12:33:23 PM
Actually, what would be even better is if it could go back into pokeball form. That way, you could just carry it in your pocket...forget parking! Then, when you want to go somewhere, you just throw it into the air and yell "I choose you Pikachu!!"
2001-10-28 01:02:13 PM
I HAVE GOT TO HAVE THAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Think about it guys..., what a chick magnet!!!
2001-10-28 01:21:09 PM
Cool...a moving target.
2001-10-28 01:37:48 PM
Wow. A pikachu volkswagen. You know, a person's car says a lot about them, and I think that thing's saying "virgin for life".
2001-10-28 01:54:49 PM
hmm, i like it. maybe not to own, but its neat as a novelty.
2001-10-28 01:59:09 PM
Eddie Curry is going to buy it and drive it around Chicago. The current owner, who is a lot smarter, is using the money to purchase a restored GTO Convertible. YO.
2001-10-28 02:06:20 PM
I can see it now! Creeping around in my Pikachu Beetle scoutin out the neighborhood for those drug dealers selling their drugs in my territory. PIKACHU DRIVEBY!
2001-10-28 02:16:59 PM
Would anyone like to buy my Moulin Rouge Minivan? Comes with the following extras:

Nicole Kidman in costume corset bodywork giving a cheeky yet strangely vacuous wink.

Full Ewan McGregor inspired interior which comes across as having a lot of potential to begin with but quietly becomes duller by the year.

Red curtains.

When horn is depressed the entire soundtrack is played for an hour and a half or until someone sets fire to it.

Free Baz Lurhmann bumper sticker with the words "You Don't Have To Be Gay To Spend A Fortune On Camp Movies That Have No Artistic Merit Or Meaning Whatsoever... But It Helps".

All offers considered.
2001-10-28 02:43:10 PM
Think of all of the stuff you could pull off. Hit N Runs, Drive bys, donuts on peoples lawns. "Thats right Officer, I washiat by a giant Pikachu." Riiiight.....
2001-10-28 02:50:42 PM
Now if it had the Misty color scheme I might consider it..(hee)
2001-10-28 03:01:42 PM
I say we get it and make a video of a bunch of people trashing it and put it on the net.
2001-10-28 03:20:50 PM
That car isn't nearly as creepy in person, one of the rich people in my city (Columbia, MO) has one of those damn things. I Just never knew the horn did that though, I've never heard the guy honk.
2001-10-28 03:52:45 PM
Mr. P. Jones: When I was like 11 I had this obsession with this Kasumi (Misty) hentai site... I could still tell you the address but alas, the site is no more. It was a good collection, too.
2001-10-28 03:56:06 PM
My kids certainly like the car (10 and 13 year old boys).

Just spent the last 1/2 hour explaining why we couldn't buy one...grin...

Last time I show them something from Fark - grin...

2001-10-28 04:12:28 PM
Can you say...

heh heh.

Sledgehammer (not for the car, for the farkin' dumbass driving it)?

heh heh heh.

Oh, and don't forget...

Sword (anyone remember when that spainish priest stabbed a Pikachu doll with one?)?

2001-10-28 04:31:48 PM
'ought, as in zero.

VIN Number? Vehicle Identification Number.... uh... number? wtf?
2001-10-28 05:16:12 PM
I don't know why,my dream car is an 80's model Chevy Caprice.Still better than this hunk of metallic crap.

MightySausage:I worry for you...
2001-10-28 05:52:02 PM

Electronic Gaming Monthly is still verymuch alive and well. As Electronic Gaming Monthly. Expert Gamer is another ZD magazine concentrating more on Tips, walkthroughs, and whatnot.

And Pokemon is still pretty damn popular.. Try working in a comic shop that sells the Card game. Oye..
2001-10-28 06:07:35 PM
if i ever see that car, consider it keyed
2001-10-28 06:13:43 PM
The new tagline for the VW Eurovan is "Sumo Size, Ninja Reflexes".

Between that and the Pikachu Beetle, does this mean the Germans and the Japanese are teaming up again?
...and does that scare anyone else?
2001-10-28 06:57:44 PM
Estragon, wait til they make an AudiTT sushi-edition.

I killed my last braincell imagining that.
2001-10-28 07:12:02 PM
I want to buy it just so I can drive into the middle of a pack of Hells Angels on an LA Freeway
and beep my horn incessantly. This thing has "beat me ,I'm gay" written all over it.
2001-10-28 07:40:45 PM
Man, can you imagine the road rage that would result if you cut somebody off in this thing? Sounds like it'd by fun to own just for that reason alone...
2001-10-28 07:44:14 PM
Anybody want to buy my "dude, where's my car" car?
2001-10-28 07:44:48 PM
