I found X-Men first class to be enjoyable, if a little overlong. That said, I found the big action scene where Zoe Kravitz is chasing Havok and Banshee through the air like a pissed-off, firebreathing Tinkerbell to be laughably bad. Who thought that would translate well on to the screen?

I'm pretty certain that when it came to the special FX, Matthew Vaughn didn't really give a crap.

I never heard such shocking news that I cared so little about!

It was the 1960s, firebreathing Tinkerbells were a common place sighting.

The scene with Magneto pulling the sub out of the water actually came out rather well, though, so I think they tried to at least make it look good (anachronistic missles and guns excepted), but I really don't think there really was any way to make the Angel fight scenes look cool. The concept it is just fundamentally laughable.

Only if you took the brown acid.

I find boas can be constricting, perhaps a traditional scarf would be a better idea.

Ironically (Maybe...at least I think it's ironic.) if they DO crack, they age like nobody's business.
