While you're there, be sure ask the locals for directions to their famous Black Hole as well.

Man that is incredible stuff. Those guys have some brass balls for going down that deep, in that cold of water, in order to study and to observe that stuff.

Crystal clear water indeed.

Might have been nice if they at least mixed up the captions a little..

Very cool, surreal scenery though.

That's awesome.

I'd be bummed out the whole time if I was diving it though, on account of being so cold the whole time. I'd be all, "Maaaan, why couldn't this cave be somewhere where the water's warm?"

Then I'd find some spot with a big flat ceiling that's all rough and dimpled and I'd breathe up the place real good. That way all my bubbles would get stuck to the ceiling with nowhere to go, and everyone who dove that chamber after me would see my bubbles and know that I'd already been in there. Booya!

Are you actually arguing for a slideshow?

Why does it look like an old mine? Because if that's what it is then it's more "meh" than "fantastic." It's all natural then that's awesome.

Oznog : WHAR IS CRYSTALS?

In this case "crystal" probably refers to the clarity of the water.

Crystal waters, if you will.

The nice thing about it being so cold and remote, is that no little shiats will go in and screw it up.

It's a side effect of being within 400 miles of vladimir putin. It's scared siltless..

Meh. The gypsum chrystal cave in Naica, Mexico is nicer and a lot less "eurotrashy".

Gross. :/

The captions were annoyingly repetitive but otherwise the pics were pretty cool. Can't believe how clear the water is.

OK I'm no geologist but I am fanatical about caves so here goes- The amazing Naica crystal caves in Mexico are dry caves- thats why they are full of giant crystals. These caves are formed in the oposite way when water seeps into crystalized gypsum formations erroding the material and creating the cave. The water in these caves is probabely near saturated with disolved minerals. If the temperature rose and the water slowly dissipated you would end up with something similar to Naica in several million years. Way cool pics! I dive and cave but never simultaneously.

My dive buddy cut the cheese once while underwater. I saw the bubble travel along his wetsuit before coming out of the ankle. The instructor told me he and his wife call them 'double bubbles'.

Underwater, everyone knows you farted.

Wrong. They're dry now because the mining operation there has water pumped out.
